Introducing: Steem.fit = Physical Benefits, Visual Experiences, & Digital Rewards
Steem.fit is an interactive incentive based application, allowing active users to receive physical benefits, visual experiences, and digital rewards. Building an interactive incentivized application on top of steemit, would provide a solution for users to physically interact with block-chain technologies and offer another on-ramp which is appealing to new users. To help bridge the gap of interacting with the physical word to real results in the digital realm. An incentive application like this could help simplify use case seniors for people that aren’t sure how they could use or benefit from block-chain based technologies. Steem.fit would help to implement proactive health strategies and promote active living by incorporating a motivational incentive.
Steem.fit would incentivize people to hike out to a scenic overlook, learn about a monument, or check out a mural. This would create a synergistic reward system where users are simultaneously rewarded with the internal benefits of being physically active, visually rewarded through experiencing some natural wonder or man made attraction, and lastly digitally rewarded with a token of monetary value all by arriving at the destination.
Steem.fit will allow people to essentially transform their human energy into value, where simply being active will act as if the user was physically mining digital currencies. Broadly if a person started to sweat while burning energy or calories they would in turn be creating “PrueSteem”. Users could be rewarded with bits of steem or some other variations of steem i.e. #Steemhealth #Esteem #Puresteem #Steemcache
Incentivized applications could be applied to all kinds of markets, creating a very strong link for user retention. Similar to SteemPower, there is a balance of incentivized rewards for locking in SteemPower and the long-term commitment of the user for the betterment of the platform. Ideas like “lifelogging” or “The Quantified self” and technologies that make them possible, much like steemit are just getting started.
Activity trackers are already capable of tracking all kinds of metrics such as movement, distance walked or run, calorie consumption, heart rate, and quality of sleep. An incentive application like steem.fit could have multiple uses built in. There would be the fitness side of tracking movement through exercising. Then there would also be an Explorer/ Traveler mode. With Pokemon-go causing mass hysteria in the street, it’s likely only a matter of time before we could be wearing “steembands”. Much like Pokémon go where users go outside exploring to find characters in augmented reality. Steem.fit would be the equivalent of virtual treasure hunting or the modern day scavenger hunt. Similar to Geo-caching there could be a geo-fence set around a certain attraction and when users enter the geo-fence they would be rewarded.Users could also be awarded for creating their own steemcache locations, which other users could explore.
The Great Social Media User Migration:
Steemit is setting a new precedent for the future of posting and sharing content across the Internet. With over 40,000+ users at the time of this post, the novelty of being rewarded for creating valuable content could lead to the largest users migration from all other social networking platforms to date. It is still too early to predict how fast an incentivized block-chain based social media platform of this nature will spread or potentially be quickly adopted and integrated by other platforms. Nevertheless, steemit is in a prime position to generate a shockwave that will capture the attention of people all across the world. The networking and viral effect to follow could cause an influx of new users into the innovative incentive ecosystem like we’ve never seen before.
