I actually really like this idea. Although I think the name could use some work.. maybe something more like "Steemtwit" would flow off the tongue a bit better?! I am of the opinion we should have a blogging platform (steemit.com), a twitter esq platform for links and short form content, and an instagram esq platform for pictures all built on the steem blockchain...

That way Steemit.com doesn't have to try to be everything to everyone...

    A horses for courses approach. It would be nice to have 3/4 different Steemit variants -it also means we don't put all our eggs in one basket like now.

    I agree name could use some work. I also agree that a suite of social media apps built on top of the same block chain would be very interesting.
