After seeing this today I'm starting to lose a little faith for Steemit because I see how it could promote reposting copyrighted material on the network.
Once something is on the blockchain it could never come off so this is a big opportunity for someone wanting to make a quick buck on Steemit to be incentivized to post copyrighted stuff.
This has even bigger implications when the copyright holder sees that people are making money on these videos and could go after the blockchain as a whole which would have detrimental effects to how all of crypto is viewed just like how people unfamiliar with crypto think it's just used for buying drugs online.
I don't know if this is being taken care of by Steemit but at the very least I think uploaders of blatantly copyrighted content should be denied of their earnings or better yet, those earnings be given to the copyright holders.
Yes, in Steemit is not just writing. Our knowledge must be accompanied by digital finance. Also about copyright. So yes we have much to learn.
