I have been a member of Steemit since July 2016. Steemit is a place where you will become addicted and want to spend your whole spare time visiting, if your here to work hard, stand by the rules then you will love it on here, if you chose to abuse the rules then you won't fit in. Its a community that looks after each other, its a family that stick together and want to same things... to help Steemit succeed.

The community
The people I have got to know, the friends I have made, what I have been taught by reading members posts, the help my friends have given me. I have learned so much from my friends, they have gave me a new way to look at my life, more positivity, they have opened my mind to meditation, they have got me started with gardening and gave me the confidence to keep on writing. My friends support what I am doing and give me the well deserved kick when I am not so good.
I have found a new love for writing, for reading and getting to know people and there lives. I want to learn about your way of life. Steemit is more than just the earnings which are a massive help but without the community Steemit wouldn't be so inviting.
My Dislike
There is only one but to me its a BIG one.
When you get to know members on here you become friends but after a while we drift off to make new friends and don't speak for quite some time. A few of my friends are still here but not here if you get my jist, they have moved on to new members and you don't get that interaction again. I do try and stay in touch with as many as possible but sometimes that message gets missed OR maybe they are avoiding you.
If we have talked before please don't think I am ignoring you, if you want to re-connect please message me and we can talk. Let's keep in touch and keep our family growing.

Sometimes, Karen, I think what happens people lose interest in steemit and actually leave. I have seen this a number of times. Especially if they think they are going to make megabucks. It's not something that you have control over. True friends hang in there no matter what!

Comes with social media, unfortunately. It's one of the reasons why some folks consider social-media interactions to be artificial.

I think also that there are so many new posters, that I look at my feed and just go oooh gee, so much to look at, and then I just don't go further than that!!

Hi I am the same there is so much to catch up on, an impossible task. I appreciate three visits and look forward to them as i class you as a dear friend :)
I tell you what happens to me, there are so many comments that you receive every day that you spend a lot of time, the creation, editing of the content takes a long time, the rest is to visit the friends and often does not reach the time, you finish rendered without wanting to communicate, my days are long from 13 a.m. to 5 p.m. a day and even then I do not have time.
I also sometimes have that feeling that they do not visit me and I think what happens to me and I say to them also happens to them.

Steemit has gotten so big these days. Yours was a name I recognised from my early days here, and when I saw this post in my feed I became curious. Whilst we've had no real interactions that I can think of (my fault - I was shy in those days!), just thought I'd drop in and say hello anyway.

I know exactly what you're talking about. It's too easy to lose touch!
Part of the trouble comes, I think, simply from the fact that we're merely human. We have only so many hours in a day, we're easily distracted, and we are forgetful. It can be hard to keep up with an ever growing number of friends and acquaintances, no matter how much we might like to.

It's so hard to not get distracted from one thing to another here on Steemit. I have a hard time just getting posts out. I don't put out a post every day, even. And sometimes folks have things come up that take their attention for awhile. I think there have been whole months where I was gone. I like that friends can pop into our posts and we still know each other. That means the social part of Steemit is working pretty well.
Its going to get a lot busier I think. You are right its really hard to keep up :)
