When you see a scam, You avoid it. It's that simple. And sometimes as a community, When we promote Steemit on other places, it comes off as "scammy." I'm guilty of these methods too. We tell everyone on our facebook what we earned today, or for the week. While this can help bring people to the platform. There will always be these skeptical people who may avoid the platform. Because on the outside of Steemit it can sometimes look like a scam.
I came up with an idea to promote Steemit differently, Which will hopefully get those "skeptics" to join. I'm drawing normal drawings, But adding little steemit highlights to them. These highlights will make people wonder what they mean, They will then ask.
Are we being threatening?
Sometimes when we post links, Some of the skeptics will probably feel overwhelmed and confused. So I'm hoping that "dripping" in the Advertising will help Steemit in the long run. They say that with advertising someone has to see something 20 times before they buy it. So this might be the case with Steemit. They see 20 drawings, Or 20 posts, Or hear of Steemit 20 times. They may eventually press that Join button.
Note: In many of these Facebook posts, There are Steemit users amoung the comments and Likes. This also helps because it will make people feel it's less of a "sales" post when people are liking and commenting.
This is why it's important for you to share, Like and comment on any post you see relating to Steemit that's not on Steemit. This can also help Steemit appear less "scary."
I've been experimenting
I've been trying to mix up my posts on Facebook. Sometimes I include the link to the drawing posts, Sometimes I just post the drawing on my facebook While mentioning Steemit, But I don't leave a link.
And with others, I say nothing about Steemit, but I post only the drawing.
This may not be 100% accurate
There are always so many factors in play with these kinds of things! The time of day can affect how well my Facebook post does, The day of. The holidays nearby. This may not be 100% accurate regarding success rate, But I'm hoping over time I can see what works!
I've already referred lots of random colorists and artist from my Facebook to Steemit. They don't seem very active yet. I'm hoping by sharing these; I not only get people to become "active" if they have an account sitting. Or I get people to sign up.
I don't always get why people are so skeptical
I get it, you go on Steemit and see those large numbers. It can seem too good to be true! But at the same time. When @stellabelle was promoting it all over facebook. I was confused yes, But when she said I didn't have to invest any of my own money. I figured I could give Steemit a "Chance." Plus it's not like Steemit asks for your credit card number when you sign up! Maybe people are more weary of what they perceive to be a possible "scam." Than I am. Because this platform is so unique, We need to figure out creative ways to promote the platform.
@lauralemons also got a lot of likes with her Steemit art post
Great outcome everytime!!!
This is a brilliant tactic. I agree no one wants be sold and when we push to hard people will pull away no matter how good this may be for them.
Your art work is beautiful. Thank you for sharing it!
Resteemed
Random upvotes for everyone hehe
So true! Heheh People always pull away when you try and sell!
Thankyou :)
We must do what we can to promote this amazing platform. It is too good to be true. I guess people use the "scam" option so that they don't have to read and research for themselves. It is just so much easier to label it as something not true or a "scheme" and something to stay away from. Easy way out .
So true! I wish people would stop being so lazy and just do it!
Easy way out for "now". Lol But they'll regret it later for the rest of their lives.
What a great strategy to use your art on FB and then bring people over to Steemit and vice - versa. Keep rocking and sharing quality info.
Thank you :) I Hope it works out! I want Steemit to be HUGE!
It is working out for you already ;-) Its huge and the future.
I HOPE SO !! heheh

How innovative, @kaylinart! Reminds me of a very smart and stealthy product placement you never notice... like Macbook laptops in movies. Bravo! 👏🏾
Just last night I made a "I love Steemit!" status update on my Facebook wall, and explained I was doing it cause I wanted my creative friends over there, to come play with me/us all over here.
I love the quality of connection on Steemit so much more, and said I feel it shifts social media from adolescence to adulthood. 😊
You're very talented, and have been inspiring me since I first came. Shine on! ✨
Right? I feel like Steemit has a higher quality community than other sites, Which is one of our biggest assets.
@kaylinart I love this community. I can do this all day.
Im getting a little giddy with my upvotes
Thank you so much hehe :) Right? There is always brilliant product placement in movies I didn't even think about that.
WOw really? I hope you got some people to come over here hehe :)
Love what your doing talking up and displaying your Art on Crapbook. Oops, I mean Facebook. lol
We as a Whole in the Steemit Community can Really make it Great...
What a fine idea... and I wouldn't be too worried about being "threatening" it doesn't come off that way at all.
I hope not! I'm trying to promote steemit in a way everyone will join.
While I was reading your post, I didn't get that sense at all!
I see my name on Laura's post. I think I may have liked your posts too. But I'd rather up vote you here than Like you there. :-)
AWWW Thank you :) It definitely helps more heheh!
Hehe Shout out to you on my post ;) Hehhe
I have found that with some of my friends they are actually just afraid of failure. They are afraid they will try and not get the success I have and that it will make them sad. Most people are in way too much of a hurry when they get here too. Some people do probably fear it is a scam also. I don't get it either. When I saw you posting I was just like "So....are you REALLY making that much money on Steemit?" and then when you said yes I was rushing my virtual ass over there to give it a try. haha :)
Thanks for giving me a mention!! :)
Aww I didn't think of that one! I feel like you can always just post and see what happens! I'm afraid of failure everytime I post, But I just have to swallow the fear and post anyways and it's paid off. So many people want to stick with what is comfortable.
The cold sell, definitely works better where money can be involved for me personally. Thanks for showing people Steemit, lets hope they move on over :)
So true!! Heheh I hope so! Lets take over heheh
Your right, it is not always easy to market anything online this days because many people have been scammed in the past. one must be patient with the people your market the platform to. You drawing strategy. good job.
So true! I wish there weren't so many scammers. It would help Steemit grow.
Yes, that would have made it easier to market it.
I totally get what you are saying. When I read about steemit for the first time I couldn't quite believe it. I even texted a friend and he told me that this was probably some illegal stuff, but obviously it is not!
That's actually a great Idea, I hope you'll be successful with it :)
So true! It sounds so bad, But once you understand it a little more it changes everything.
That's why i get zero likes when posting about steemit on Facebook.
Maybe yeah :( People seem scared. That your like some sort of sales person LOL. I also heard rumors that Facebook might be showing less of Steemit posts. So that might be something we have to watch out for.
Yes too many scams promising big return on investments, but you are creative , you can make a difference and then we follow your way
Very good post.you are really intelligent.
wow. I like the art. Stay in the path of excellence.
Wow! you are really talented. keep up the good work. Followed
Thanks so much hehe
Keep it up!
Thank you
@kaylinart steemit is beautiful because of people like you using innovation to add value here for our common good. Keep steeming and more success. Good job, Upvoted.

Thank you so much
Very nice contents ! 100% upvoted from @chanthasam
Thank you Heheh :)
Great post!
Best wishes!
너무 훌룡한 글입니다!
Good job Keep it up!!
When things are free, people will be sceptical what more if you tell them steemit will pay them!!! It is the mind set of people as they are precocious of such a thing. It is good what you are doing as this will eventually 'educate' the general public and let their preset mind set be open to better choice. Keep up the great work.
Good job! You're very talented, keep with it! Can't wait to see more and new drawings from you! :-)
I just got over 100 people from Facebook on Steemit in only 10 days 😁
Hello nice photography and beautifull art xD
Many facebook users do not understand what you mean. May need another approach.
This is great, good job!

Your art is a lovely community conduit ! Nice @kaylinart
👍👍
People are so skeptical to their own detriment. "You made how much from this post? ... Sounds like a scam." But it doesn't cost anything. "Still sounds like a scam." But... But... But... Nevermind. :/
I like this, and sharing stuff on facebook saying "I wrote this" or "I drew this" as a link to steemit, then it normalizes it, I think steemit is probably good enough that we shouldn't do the push-sale, just enough so that people know that you can help them join it.
I understand exactly what you are talking about in this post. I am having a hell of a time getting people to come to steemit. I came to steemit because I was at a point in my life where i was ready to share what I have to say.
Thank you for posting.
awesome i like thanks for sharing ^^
Hi Kaylin! Well I have been reading your Steemit posts on Facebook since last year (I think) and I checked it out but got put off by the cryptocurrency thingy because I couldn't understand it (I thought it was a scam). Also I thought Steemit doesn't accept members outside of the US because it could get complicated to send payout which is often the case. And I think about a couple of weeks ago you posted about that computer you bought using your earnings from Steemit. I thought WOW. And I signed up. Yes, your tactic worked on me. Thank you for introducing the platform to me and I am encouraging some artist friends to come on board. A couple of them did but some are still on the fence. Like me they are sceptical about cryptocurrency. I don't blame them. Anyway, your successful journey on Steemit is so inspiring. :)
Steemit and its reward (payment) system is complicated. This is intentional, so as to stop scammers. But for the ordinary person, this is confusing. So, as you noted, people see the big earnings of others, and wonder why they themselves aren't making it like the others. After all, its just so easy isn't it?
I've seen noobs, time and time again, arrive on this platform and begin with the tactics of the old social media, and fail miserably. If they don't give up and stick around, they then start to cry, that Steemit is rigged.
BRILLIANT.
I am less controversial because I just post:
#GETYOURASSONSTEEMIT
This is an excellent article. I'm one of your artist friends on FB. I would read all of your posts about success, but it seemed so vague that I wasn't sure what any of it meant. Over time, I took more time to read what you write and started to understand. I guess it was when you shared your new computer that I started to look more into this.
Someone else asked me to check out her post. Before the two of you, I didn't know this existed as a platform. The more time I spend in the art world now, the more I want to do ONLY art. Maybe these things can help us get there? I thank you for sharing steemit and for also writing this post.
