You are definitely right @kennyskitchen Block trades is by far the easiest way of going about it. I've used it a few times to trade for either BTC or ETH and it has been extremely fast transactions. I love not having to wait lond periods of time wondering if I messed up.
It was also exciting the first time I successfully turned Steem into Fiat and went and bought a Kombucha. I figured my first crypto purchase should be something healthy.
Thanks for the post!
Ya, the speed and the fact that you don't need an account are the big ones for me :-)
That is a wonderful thing to spend it on! Verde Vegan, the restaurant I'm sitting in right now, accepts crypto and has kombucha on their menu, including kombucha smoothies!
You're welcome, thanks for the comment!
You're right boss,
Steem it on 💪
awe yayaa!
been making use of BlockTrades to diversify my portfolio including transferring some in to Steem here :-)
thanks @kennyskitchen !
Thanks Kenny, I had never heard of this before so it was interesting to read about!

I learned a lot of interesting things, which I did not know before .
I don't know about everyone else but I am claiming in my taxes. Not worth trying to hide.
I have never and will never pay extortion to the criminal organizations who think they run the world. Anyone who is opposed to genocide, kidnapping, rape, colonialism, and destroying the planet has a moral obligation to refuse to pay "taxes".
That's one way of looking at it. Another perspective is that you are likely enjoying the fruits of public projects funded by tax dollars. To benefit from tax dollars without contributing doesn't seem moral either. It's a difficult problem.
I can see how it could be taken that way, but without that stolen money, anything that the "public" wants, people would pay for voluntarily. (And if not, then by "democracy" taxes shouldn't be paying for it anyway.)
Bombs, drones, chemical weapons, politicians salaries, etc are all things that people would not pay for if not at the barrel of a gun.
And really, the only thing that matters is that theft is theft. If I rob/extort you, it doesn't matter what I'm going to do with the money, as the act itself is wrong no matter what.
I have used @blocktrades to go to different exchanges before and have been happy so far.
You're right
Resteeming for the vital content! Nice BipCot logos, too!
Thank you! I have been spending time teaching friends how to convert one currency to another. The more people that use cryptocurrency the easier it becomes, at the same time the easier it becomes the more people will use cryptocurrency. It is a feedback loop. :)
Exactamente! I'm grateful we have options like @blocktrades and Shapeshift that are quick, easy, cheap, and don't require anything extraneous (creating an account, "verification, etc)
Useful tips. Thanks mate.
Good stuff Kenny .. thanks for the great info in a clear and digestible manner. I have a lot to learn gaining footing in the crypto world, and your insight is very helpful in navigating!
