All of us that’s traveled the world is a Time Traveler, but it’s how you see yourself in the world you’re in that makes you one. When you’re going to a third world country, all your gadgets are from the future. But when you’re in a first world Asian country, you’re suddenly a decade behind.
The future looks a little grim with all our phones being our best friends(kind of like the movie, HER). No ones talks to each other anymore or even look up unless to watch if the train is coming.
From young to old, everyone’s souls seem slowly depleted.
So I danced up and down the each car to get a few people’s attention, most just ignore, but some actually start recording me pretending like their on their phones. I know it seems odd to dance without asking for money, but for them to see something out of the norm is very unusual.
The youngsters and foreigners love the energy, some even cheer me on and give high fives.
And with the ones that speak some English, I try talk with them about their purpose in life and how they can change their future. And it’s not just Korea...Singapore, Taiwan, and Japan especially are all going through this era.
Even when I got arrested for dancing in public, the police asks to take photos and enjoy my presence in their office. I took a few selfie with officers that wanted them and quite a few of them were taking snapshots on the sidelines.
Soon I realized I’m too small against a whole country that’s gone too deep into the tech world depression. So I’ll bring what I can to my hometown before we dive into this same place.
