Victims of @zeartul @bellyrub @bellyrubbank Unite Here!

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

I wont be replying to anything as im not going to take part in this. I did loose some bucks here but with my risk management i can take it yet im sure people who are in probably need lost here - and this is not acceptable.Im making this post since i have loads of followers (15k+) so everyone who lost money due to @zeartul and his actions can meet each other and take action.

Also i believe we have strong enough community here to find the guy and took money out from enough people to make it worth.

Few facts in the time queque, without dates or links. Seek if you want.

  • he was trying to exit bellyrub since 17 days
  • in the middle of that he was making upvoting deals with @zeartul @zear accounts
  • he was trying to sell the @bellyrub to people
  • he was trying to make deals for @bellyrubbank deposits + upvote deals
  • he is trying to make @freedom responsible for everything and tried to use @neoxian name as his backup for legitness of his SP deals
  • now claims he sold @bellyrub long ago yet when he owed people money he was all the time saying they will get them from what the bot makes

tldr; everything adds up to multiple deals for same things offered. and now money.. poof!

So this is to make you aware to not deposit or do deals with him at all.

The only 100% sure screen of this businessman is here - https://steemit.com/dtube/@zeartul/6d3kp1dw

Hes using Poloniex - so prolly verified there.
Steemit devs have his IPs from all logins too.

I also dug up another video from him, but still doing some research. Most of his videos have been removed and there are not a lot of threads to pull on, but I might have one I am working on.

I did see he has a "steem paid BMW" in my travels.

Thanks for the reference and bringing this all to light @themarkymark. He would have gone on for as long as he could have if you had not made your post. For those of you effected by this scammer, consider submitting a ticket to Poloniex. I don't know if it will help, but it can't hurt to try:

Maybe the e-mail he used to sign up is his main, I screwed up a guy who scammed me on reddit that way, managed to find his FB and Paypal account so talked to his friends and family and he gave me my money back ... The guy was 11 years old though.

This guy has a lot of info about him out there and a long track record of scams. He seems to be within US jurisdiction, it's not out of the realm of possibility that he'll face charges if his victims pursue it.

I'm sure someone in the Steemiverse knows his real name and identity. That would go a long way. We have pictures of him, only a matter of time before he's doxxed, I'm guessing.

I really can't put into words just how sad this makes me feel. I was the designer that came up with the bellyrub design. It pains me deeply to see my designs and work used for evil. It's a double edged sword, just as a designer's art can be used for good and to help promote good things, it can also be used in a malicious way to give an illusion of legitimacy and trust. I feel so terrible about all of this. I hope that everyone affected can recover and get their money back. And I apologize for my work being used like this. So sad..

I used @bellyrub a couple times last week and saw a good return on my investment. I've been using multiple services to see how the up vote bots work and other investment bots work. Thankfully I didn't invest. I've been trying out assorted bots just to see how they work with the steemit system.

Since I am an artist this has been my thoughts on automated services here on Steemit. I am changing my mind though, I don't think bots are that bad but this is unregulated territory so we all need to do our due diligence regarding what kind of services are good for us and Steemit.

wow! really disappointed!

You could literally crowdfund a lawsuit against the guy here. Thankfully I never got involved with him, but I'd be glad to see it happen.

thats one amazing idea.

Count me in if it will take place.

Maan that's what is need to be done!

Be nice if his wallet and assets could be frozen, so he doesn’t get away with it all and people get paid back. I put 100 in @bellyrubbank myself. 😤

A big part of the point of decentralized cryptocurrency networks is that they aren't under a centralized control. If the network were to decide to freeze this guy's assets, even if it's clear they are ill-gotten, it would open a pandora's box.

Yeah. I know. That’s why I said it would be nice if...
So I get it. The only recourse is probably to go after him with a lawsuit.

Yea it looks like I'm probably going to get burned for 422 steem for unpaid delegation rental, plus the 100 SBD I put in bellyrubbank. I'll be writing my own post tonight.

Im sorry about your Loss. I just upvoted you, I know its just 2 cents, but its a reminder that we fall and get up again. You will get many more delegation rentals in the future.

Good work guys, really inspired.Am really inspired by you @dexterslab for this noble action of yours. You were touched by the plight of your fellow steemian, and that is what the Spirit of steemit is all about, where we share in each other's joy and pain.

Awesome. This is awesome. Am glad you did this @dexterslab. It's sends a message to us that we see ourselves as more than just people but family. You are a blessing. God bless you.

Please do @neoxian. I put 150 SBD into this "bank" and it is pretty much for me ;/ I hope we can do something as a community to make this guy pay for his sins...

I am depositor of @bellyrubbank. Any one can help me? Thank you for this post. Im looking for return of my sbd. On that time it almost equivalent to my 1 month posting on steemit "my 25 SBD to @bellyrubbank" thank you!

Yo ,
Nice work sir

Upped, always. My gift for you, feel free to see my latest post on bitcoin and a new project and apply for free coins / airdrop....successA good post indeed @kingscrown is great to have someone like you supporting the little fellows...keep it up

Just a thought.

I don't know much about what is going on here but it strikes me as a bit odd that someone would post a video of himself 20 days ago and start to defraud people 3 days later. Maybe he just isn't the brightest spark in the fire?

I hope he knows that if he lives in the US he's facing some serious charges.

An example of fraud , someone who was not dedicated from the start when I read the comments on his post I was not shocked when I saw people being angry , it’s truly unfair to those who invested even 1 Steem

We are a victim of the @zeartul and @bellyrub Ponzi Scheme. It's really sad that we delegated 250,000 to this guy and he didn't even give us the 700 STEEM he promised us.

I didnt get pay 860 steem he still owe me.

I guess its good I am not familiar with this person.

I sent 3$ to bellyrub, no refund and no upvote

Thanks for warning! I never trusted guys and services like this one.

The real sucky part about decentralization is scams like this can go rampant without much repercussions.

Question is what happens now? That account has so much freakin steem power assigned to it.

Yeah that account has SP for days.We need to put the scamers in a list.

@Kingscrown you just gave me an idea, you know how we have the witness list, how about if we had the Scammer List? You simply upvote someone into the scammer list. Now why do we need a scammer list , not all people follow the same people, its possible to miss out on a scamer alert as helpful as yours.

I agree with you and we as a community must ban him by not sending him money for upvotes and not support on one or other ways..Thanks for pointing out

My sincere condolences to those who lost some money. This is really serious. We have to be really careful how we transfer money here on steemit. Like what @kingscrown said, try to follow legit channels from legit sources like @kingscrown when dealing with money issues.

Reputation as a Steemit metric is now based on the total weight of upvotes. When Reputation can be bought, it doesn't quite reflect the trustworthiness of an account. When selling business services on Steem to be paid in the platform's currency, there should maybe be a different "stamp of legitimacy" or "certificate of trust", perhaps based on witness consensus?

On topic: this is shameful and I hope @zeartul will make amends with the victims and return their money.

Genius Idea --> "maybe be a different "stamp of legitimacy" or "certificate of trust".

@fitzgibbon & @dexterslab

I wrote about a method to establish "stamp of legitimacy" here : https://steemit.com/witness-category/@bobinson/2a9njn-need-for-establishing-identify-of-witnesses-discussion-and-proposal

may not be appealing or welcomed by everyone but some sort of "circle of trust" must be implemented. Even with witnesses, the status or identity is not really known.

Nice. Am glad you gave this wonderful feedback. You making some point in what you've said, but I wasn't refering to the reputation of @kingscrown when I said he is trustworthy, I was refering to my relationship with him here on steemit. Only accept information from people who youve followed for some amount of time and have found them to be trustworthy, based on what they post, people's comment towards them, how much they keep to their word, etc.

Anywaiz thanks for the feedback, it's well appreciated

Ì'm not referrring to @kingscrown's reputation, but to @zeartul's. He's got 69 reputation points, which is pretty high, but it turns out he shouldn't be trusted.

Okay I get now. Very true. His rep was deceptive. I think steemit has to look for a way of curbing this menace. All the best

Wow. I aporeciate your concern for steemians. People like this shouldn't be here.
I will be careful when i see the red flag. I wilk definitley steer clear. Thanks again.

Thanks so much @kingscrown. You are a great guy. Thanks for bringing this to our notice. I will help spread the word. I will warn to cease all communicaton and followership too. Thanks again. I appreciate thsi.

Good job @kingscrown for this noble task you have carried out. I believe we should start bursting this guy by resteeming this post so that more people can be aware of his evil. A wonderful steemian @freedomexists wrote a post on his crimes as far back as 3months ago, and if he is still in it, then the word has not spread much. Let's all resteem this wonderfully written post by @kingscrown for greater visibility. @kingscrown has done his own part, it's now left for us to do ours. All the best.

The link to the post written by @freedomexists is https://steemit.com/steemit/@freedomexists/warning-nettybot-is-another-scam-booster-so-avoid

Wow. Thanks for this great info. I have come across that. I will be watchful and warn others when i come across again. You really have others interest at hear and it is commendable. I will look indepthly into the mentions and have a whole idea of whats going on.

We really should be carefuk when transferring money. The right mediums are the best bcos you never can tell. Be careful all and if you see something like this, just like @kingscrown did, report it and warn others. Thank you once again

I was thinking of a medium to really spread this @kingscrown Bcos its just a few of us that know this. How do we get it across the the larger public. Maybe like an alert means for steemit. Bcos while we are speaking someone might be falling a victim too. Pls thank you. These are the people we defeat the aim of steemit. This is a community of people who help each other.

Exactly. This guy is a big criminal. What they do now is not only to fraud you of your money, they now tell newbies to vote them as witness so they can have a bigger platform to carry out their evils, and these innocent newbies just do as they've been told, not knowing they are dealing with scams.
Thanks @@@kingscrown for this lovely warning.

Weldone @kingscrown, you've pointed out what people should have given attention to. @bellyrub has been a scam fro a very long time now. This is a post I came about written 3 months ago by @freedomexists, where he clearly stated that @bellyrub is a fraud. The post is located at https://steemit.com/steemit/@freedomexists/warning-nettybot-is-another-scam-booster-so-avoid

It's really important that we get our information from credible sources like @kingscrown.

Nice to be your friend here at Steemit.I already followed you to see all of your future blogs! The community needs cool people like you :-)

Thanks for the heads up @kingscrown . Bellyrub is/was huge for a while, good to know to steer clear

thank you for this information
very useful thank you
@kingscrown

I stopped using bellyrub a while ago after failed upvotes and losing upvotes
There just seemed something not quite right about him

Always pumping his bot but never seemed to sort peoples problems out

I wish you a great dayexcellent work dear friend @kingscrown, very clear and accurate information, luckily several people are communicating what happened with this account.

keep it bro

Thanks for the warning - but who is HIM finally - is it the same that was running bellyrub originally or what happened there?

yes it was the same guy all the time

This is far away from being nice - kick him - bust his balls out

Ran through all the posts and links about this matter but I still cannot get the idea. Is this all started by people sending Steem or SBD to the bank or the bot instead of using delegation?

Saw the sky, saw the river, saw many stars .. today and steemite who are my real friends ... !! @monirol-islam

well . thanks for your warning......

what a shame. I had nothing invested in any of his scams, but so sorry to learn about this this morning!

Amazing. A debt of gratitude is in order for this incredible data. I have run over that. I will be careful and caution others when I go over once more. You truly have others enthusiasm at hear and it is praiseworthy.
