If you think Steemit is going to be a social media success by focusing on simply gaining user quantity from anywhere on the net, you are mistaken and don't know how to attract and create a quality name and brand for real people to come and make something out of this place. And some people try to bring porn into facebook because they want it, and others don't. We need an overall direction and target audience. Steemit has no specific direction it wants to go in for what it wants to be, who it wants to target as an audience to build a platform around. Steemit, seems to want to cater to everyone, and that make it cater to no one in particular. There is no target audience when you don't have a target, when your target is anyone. This is operating without a real direction to start in, and is essentially operating rudderless, incapable of going in a direction because there is no direction chosen to head towards.
I have to agree with you krnel. It all depends on what people want Steemit to become. In my opinion this might just not the place for it. Although it sells, porn can be bad for business.
