Thanks for the gift, it was a nice surprise ! steemit takes time and it's not an overnight journey to success to most. There is no quick payout here. Perseverence is the key, each post gain a few more followers. It's hard not to get discouraged sometimes but to keep in mind that everybody is clawing for their piece of the pie. It offers an earning opportunity where there wouldn't have been any in several countries that are struggling. You are correct that frustrations and too many passive aggressive post only results in flags and the loss of followers.
