RE: Introducing dlike - Steem App for Webmasters and Social Geeks to Share and Get Rewarded

dhow dboring dthis dis

I do notice a lot of d-this and d-that popping up, but I think it's kind of endearing personally. It reminds me of the early days of the commercial Internet! Everything was eThis and eThat. It makes me sort of nostalgic for the present; is that a thing?

I suppose what I mean is: I think that someday we will be looking back fondly on all these d-things.

low effort content

I'm skeptical about these sorts of projects, but I believe that the platform will decide what is acceptable. It would sadden me to see actual content creators earning less because we're all sharing links now. I know it's a controversial topic, but personally, whether it was the original intent or not... I like the fact that we've built up an expectation of original, high-effort content on this platform.

I think it would be a good gesture for @dlike to automatically limit post payout to $1.00 or something reasonable on posts made through their app, by setting the maximum accepted payout value. This would show good faith and help to gain the trust of the Steem community.
