I've noticed I don't I don't receive as many comments on my posts anymore as I use to on Facebook. Could it be many have muted me, because I am always posting about cryptocurrency and trying to get you involved with the blockchain? Or is it because I don't post as often, because I 'm not wasting my time online, I'm investing it at steemit.com.
I understand the posts about cryptocurrency may become annoying. I can't help it, but I love you all. Cryptocurrency is one of the greatest, tastiest pies ever invented and it's being consumed by those paying attention. It is currently changing the concept of currency as we know it and supplying an income that many may not have without it. I want you to have a piece of it.
You know what's even crazier? Cryptocurrency is just part of the story. It's a subset of a technology called the blockchain.
I'm sure you are thinking that sounds too techie for me!
It's not! Steemit.com has made entering the blockchain world and cryptocurrency easily available to the masses!
I'll tell you how, but let me ask you a few questions first.
What is a task we each participate in on a regular basis? Post on Facebook!
Let me ask you one question...What do you receive for posting on Facebook?
I'm sure many of you are already thinking "Oh I got him now!".
Yes, I understand.
- You have a sense of community.
- You are able to contact friends and family on a regular basis.
- There are great ideas and concepts encountered.
Those are all valid answers!

- What do you receive from Facebook in the form of monetary compensation for these thoughts, feelings, and ideas?
My answers to you.
- Your thoughts, feelings, and ideas are worth a lot to me and many others! Sure some of you are quirkier than others. Many of you have a talent or skill. Heck, some of you are downright crazy! But you know what? That is what makes you special and unique! If I wanted bland I would order off the dollar menu at McDonald's!
- I can tell you what you receive from Facebook in the form of monetary compensation. Zilch, Nada, Nothing...A big fat ZERO when it pertains to your bank account. Have you looked at their stock today? It's almost $150 per share! Where's your slice of that yummy pie?

Steemit wants to share the pie by letting you earn cryptocurrency called Steem or Steem Backed Dollars for your stories/posts! Yes, it's real money. Here are a few examples of posts fellow Steemians(that's what a lot of Steemit users are called) have found valuable.
I would like to point out a couple of things about the story posts above. Do you notice what I story post about? The things that are important to me! My sobriety. My family. The Impact of War. These are my thoughts. My loves. My life...And people find them valuable.
Additionally, you see the post titled The Chosen Few: An Original Memorial Poem? I actually posted that poem on Facebook, because it was important to me to honor The Fallen. I didn't need to be rewarded for that specific post because it's something I wanted to do. However, the point is I was rewarded. Others on Steemit found it valuable. Because our thoughts are valuable.

you make a lot of good points that I have tried to share with my family.
I never built a terrific following on Facebook because I never really saw it as a place to think out loud. With no followers, no one saw it anyway. And family would talk to me later about a post, yet seldom respond to my post. I've been here just a few days and already have more followers than I had in 10 or more years and Facebook. Then all the stuff came out about their efforts to censor content, and I knew it was time for me to do something different. I'm a little surprised I've been involved in this as I have. I'm having a great time!

It's great to hear that your Steemit experience is going well @ indianajimz. Helping others be successful on Steemit is truly the way for this platform to be successful. I agree that censorship sucks and I am glad people are voting with their feet. What a post!
I have yet to promote to my 22,000 FB followers... I just started 10 days ago. Let me get more influence on Here first before I do, I can't be a minnow on here and look bad to all my followers 😂😂😂

I think I have probably annoyed my Facebook "friends", too, with my numerous posts about Steemit. I was only attempting to get them involved with a great community before it goes mainstream and they realized they missed out on the prosperous early days.
