In the Spirit of Community we have on this platform, I will with great enthusiasm give pointers on how my followers have been doubled in less than a month!
I Started Blogging
I know it seems too easy but I actually started blogging just about every day. I have been on this platform for 9 months but I took two 3 month breaks due to my personal struggle with Alcoholism(which I actually post about). Yep, I failed miserably. BTW today is 44 days sober!

I Follow Three Key Pieces Of Advice I Received
These three posts are the best pieces of advice I have received on Steemit and I keep them in a Favorites Folder. I won't dive into them deeply as I believe if you truly want to grow your channel you will do these three Steemians the honor of reading their posts.
- @fisteganos The Key To More Views On Your Posts; How To Get Your Title Right I believe the description of the post explains it all. There are great tips in @fistegano's post for trying to achieve the perfect title.
- @razvanelulmarin Are you sure this isn't your first draft?
I'm going to give you a fair warning. When you read this post you are going to feel like you've had your asshole ripped open by the largest dildo you ever came across. I've never had a dildo by my bum but if I did this is probably what it would feel like. That's what I love about @razvanelulmarin ...He keeps it real and that makes him the real deal. Essentially, the article explains why it is important to proofread your draft before you post.(I'm gonna feel like the biggest dumbass if there are typos in this post.) - @mindhunter Mindhunter Discusses Some Of His Tips & Tricks For Writing Ideas On Steemit This video suggests commenting to every reply you receive on a post. I do it to keep followers engaged. @mindhunter's reasoning is a little different than mine but still holds validity. I believe what your followers reply to your post is just as important as what you post for them to read! Their thoughts are valuable too!

This last one could make me blow a gasket. There is nothing I hate more on Steemit than plagiarized posts and pictures that are not cited. Sure, sometimes picture citations are accidentally forgotten. I get it. I am sure, I am almost positive, I have forgotten to cite a picture or two. But, on a personal level how would you feel if someone purposefully ripped one of your posts without giving you credit? I'd take it very damn personal because a little piece of your soul is left in every one of these posts. Additionally, if someone didn't take the time to cite; how much thought was actually put into writing the post?
Learn How To Use Markdown
Learning Markdown was surely a learning curve for me on Steemit. I spent probably my first month on this platform learning how to use it. However, it makes posts look crisper being able to bold, italicize, etc. This Guide from Github is my favorite go to.
Enjoy What You Are Writing
If you are not enjoying what you are writing then why are you even doing it? It's not supposed to be a soul taking task but something you enjoy. For example, writing a How To Grow Your Channel Guide is not my usual forte. But you know what I enjoy? Helping Others. Knowing I could be helping someone has made this post very fun and enjoyable for me!

You are right - write about something you enjoy. I can tell that some authors write about politics and crypto currencies not because they are passionate about those topics, but because those posts typically have higher payouts. If there is no passion and soul about the topic, it will be apparent.
@countryinspired Slower growth with loyal followers that enjoy what I am writing because my enthusiasm shines through helps build a stronger foundation for future success.

Thank you @lexikon082 for this post and the time you spent producing it. I loved the Louis L'Amour quote, I'm pretty sure I read(devoured) all of his westerns growing up as a kid, in the west. I would have to characterize my Steemit experience as more of a pressure cooker, "Steem" release, than turning on the faucet.
I've added this post to my collection of howto's and if I don't forget will go on to check the 3 posts you refer to as being beneficial.
