OK, that might be a little subtle for you, because you're software and you don't do nuanced sarcasm or irony.
But really. Nothing shows that you're a dumb piece of software like trying to remind me of that time I was walking along and decided to crouch down and snap some weeds next to a Sainsbury's bag with a housing block as backdrop. Because I'm weird. And even 2017 Lloyd thinks 2010 Lloyd was weird so why would I even...
It's really tempting to think of Facebook as all those preppy, smiley people you might see in their ads. Smart Silicon Valley types working to connect the whole world. And sometimes, when I say "Facebook" I mean "My Facebook Friends" and then I might remember what "My Facebook Friends" means - it means the subset of people I've met who have made enough of an impression on me for me to initiate or participate in the wiggle dance of mutual acceptance via a dialog box. That's not to imply that all relationships there are equally trivial. There are people there who I have love, love, loved for many years (some of them from before I loved a computer!) But there are also many of those kinds of people who are never anywhere near Facebook too.
Anyway, this isn't about me, FB, it's about you. You are a software (I won't use the term "artificially intelligent") agent whom I have allowed to intervene in a number of my most intimate relationships as well as some really trivial ones and you are as dumb as software can be, but like any dumb agent who butts in on other people's relationships, (remember that guy?) you think you're important and you don't pick up the signals that we all hate you, but can't be arsed to kick you out.
Steemit doesn't intervene, it serves. It helps me connect, through my writing, music, video whatever. Like Facebook it's made of a mix of people and software, but the people come first, the software just passes on my thanks to you and also says "thank you very much for being here, the people who read your stuff think you should have this slice of the reward pool, go spend it on apple pie!"
Facebook, the clock's ticking...
Dear Facebook I don't want you to sell my data to advertisement companies and censure me or my content. I don't want you to profit from MY content and I don't want you to...

facebook is the awkward silence of a breakup.
shudders - not half!
I almost fell out of my chair laughing when I saw this. Oh Facebook, you're trying so hard to show you care, but it's obvious you really don't.
nice post
ill just admitt i have used FB a lot for pointless scrolling and reading articles. many years ago, i got rid of TV, so i made my FB account into some kind of press clipping service, with subscriptions at news sources or people i find interesting, from all the corners in the world. it was not perfect, but still it was a thing to spend lot of spare time just reading random stuff.
what i want to say, steemit is the way way better for serving that purpose, and it took me whole 7 days to get rid of fb.
FB feed cant really compete with steemit feed.
it was fun to connect with people I already knew, but I also like to make new friends all the time and that works best through seeing their work and their reaction to my work :)
I'd leave FB if my friends used something else. Steemit can't replace everything it does, but those who want to reach all their fans should get on here and bring their fans with them.
same... I'm just going to let FB do what it does and get on with the real fun here.
