Question... is Steemit censorship proof? On most websites, a headline like this one would get the article banned regardless of the context. Anyways... someone please reply with a fact based answer. Thanks much.

Posts on the Steemit website can be removed, for instance, if a gang with guns (gov) forces them to. However our content can not be removed from the blockchain. And if Steemit.com got all censorship happy then someone might start up a competitor on the same blockchain. This is what I heard the founders say several times.
But yeah the headline and the picture is not very pro steemit at first glance. Maybe the whales see some importance in responding to detractors on the front page.
