Guys,
Just my opinion but i feel like at this point steemit feels to much like reddit at not enough like facebook. Hear me out!
Reddit is reddit and its got a huge foothold in that format of site. Steemit at the moment feels to much like a slightly different version of reddit. Reddit has a huge user base but its also a niche sort of user.
On the other hand Facebook is successful because it appeals to everyone not just the internet nerd ( for lack of a better term). If steemit is to grow i feel like it needs to start appealing more to the people that want a social network but dont want to give up all privacy AKA facebook.
All these users that are now realising that facebook has just turned them into a product that they make money off need a new network to use. Myspace was well a total disaster but the market is there for a new network to start taking ground from facebook and Steemit seems like the best placed contender.
But it needs to add some of the "friends" and "albums" style stuff that people use to keep in contact with people they know. Not just writing articles if you will.
