I've been looking to pull together a Steemit accelerator here in Denver, but I paused when I did not see an real interest put forward during my initial post looking for any interested parties. Maybe I should reconsider?
Can you give us some more details about the other event?
I also think that you should reconsider because this area is FULL of really open-minded people, and I think that's a huge requirement for a potential Steemit-User. Many people are too narrow-minded to leave their other social medias, and I think that this area has A LOT of potential! I think it would be cool to do the next meetup in Denver so we should plan the next one out soon too! I hope yall will be able to make it (: And who knows maybe we could videochat with people who cant make it to the event lol
@amvanaken about five months ago, I was looking into creating a Steemit accelerator in the Denver area, and I wanted to see:
My original post Rocky Mountain Region STEEM/Steemit Accelerator Meetup: Gauging Interest Phase received a ton of support from others in other states, but I didn't see sufficient numbers to move the needle and convince me there was a community to support this accelerator idea. I had a location settled and everything. I also have two newbies who are very interested.
I'm looking forward to this Saturday at Urban Steam. We can talk more about it there. I am also trying to get @kennyskitchen to attend as well. He will be in town until (I think) the end of September, and he has some pretty deep connections with other Steemit users in the Denver area as well and the anarchy community on Steemit.
I'm all about this. Already have a few steemians in the somewhat local arena who I'm talking to about this. One of whom is planning to attend in CoSpgs on Sat with us!

Wow @lpfaust itโs looking like the future is looking bright for Steemit ๐ I think this will be a hotspot area for Steemians soon, and itโs cool to be able to help make that happen!
