Well, he's a writer. I do it for a living too and I can do as many as I have time and mental capacity for. Some of it he likely already had sitting in files unused as well. It takes practice. Check out MarkRMorrisJr.com for some tips.

I only have time for 1-2 posts per day at the moment, but about half of my posts were already written and sitting around on my blog or computer doing nothing. Even though they're already written, it still takes time to find images, proofread, etc.

I would recommend Stackedit.io for formatting and Img safe for image hosting as fast and free options that have helped me. On the images, I would do the same as I do for all of my freelance clients, write posts in batches, then hunt images for a whole batch, save them into an easy to find folder, then you can drag them onto the page at Imgsafe.org and paste the links over into Stackedit I can format a post in about 15 minutes.
