(9:12) One of the longest videos I've ever had to make, there's just so many reasons why I love Steemit & the Steem Blockchain.
- Earn cryptocurrency by posting what you are passionate about
- Decentralized
- No ads! (I hate being advertised to)
- Accountability and transparency
- Beautiful, simple blog format
- Contests and competitions
- Finding like minded people and seeing the posts you truly want to see
Check out these amazing projects and contests I spoke about in the video:
Steemit Open Mic Week 42 Brought to you by @luzcypher & @pfunk
POWER OF STEEM PROJECT by @lukinsawyer. Check out how great he is already doing! WATCH: Day 1 : Vlog!! 3 Flats, but still chugging!! + One New Person Knows About Steemit!

Steemit Homesteading Challenge Brought to you by @kiaraantonoviche
Some beneficial posts for anyone new, or considering joining Steemit:
- FullTimeGeek -- STEEMIT Rant #1 By who I like to call the "Full Time Angel" of Steemit @fulltimegeek. This man is walking the talk, and always introducing me to the greatest Steemit projects and people.
Another really great teacher, with a lot of information, wisdom, wit and humour is @luzcypher. I share his articles a lot with friends who are considering joining us here. These are a couple of my favourites so far:
Thanks, not that long a video! And I can't f'ing stand ads either ;)
Steemit and everything associated with it is certainly very interesting and something I'm in the process of trying to get my head around. I haven't entered any contests as yet, but I really should soon! :)
Right on @adambarratt! Just search the # contest and it'll take you to all of them, I'm sure you will find something up your alley! Thanks for watching the vid, usually I like to keep things short and sweet, but was totally unable to because Steemit has so many plusses!
This is a good intro with lots of resources together in one place.
I'm impressed that you can speak "live" for so long all in one take. I'd wind up getting flustered and have to cut it up into a bunch of short bits.
Have you done a post about that amazing greenhouse?
EDIT: found your video from last month. Stuff is growing in so fast!
HAHAHAA Awwww, love the edit, thank you for peeking around our homestead, yes, things have grown a lot since the beginning of July! I usually do a video a month, you will not believe the front yard now!!!!!!! I'm just dyin' to make the next video about the veggies and flowers!!!!
Yes, as we discussed before, I don't know how to edit videos yet, so it's one take for me, I actually am the one take wonder though LOL!! I hate doing things twice. When recording music in the studio, I always take my first take, that's where the passion is!! Any more takes and it starts to get scripted feeling, but that's just me <3
We dig the longer videos ! Always a joy checking out content from ya ! Thanks for posting !
Great I hope you got something from it, and from the authors and contests I linked as well @geneeverett!
Great report, @lyndsaybowes Follow
