If you've ever had that gut wrenching feeling when you've autosaved a password for any site access, particularly one that is unrecoverable like Steemit, and then tried to log in from another device but can't quite recall the combination of letters and numbers you thought you'd used, then you'd be pleasantly surprised to know that Chrome has your back.
I'm not entirely certain this feature is available with other browsers, it may well be, however I only discovered it myself this morning after feeling same sinking feeling trying to access my Steemit account with what I thought was the correct password.
The simplest way to recover the password, again assuming you have it autosaved, is to type/copy & paste the following into the address bar of chrome
chrome://settings/search#manage%20passwords
click on the highlighted manage passwords and scroll to Steemit then select Show and you will be prompted to enter your windows password which will reveal the 16+ password combination which you should then store somewhere safe!
Voila, sinking feeling gone!
starting a linux blog and tag I would love to hear from you.
