Why I started blogging?
It was my significant other who introduced me to Steemit. He knew that i have been into creative writing in quite a while now, and i have been posting my literary works on my Youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCp-qO67rWrQtbz8X10nTv4g?view_as=subscriber . I'm not sure if it was false modesty, but he insisted that i should continue, because he thinks i'm good at it. He told me to sign up on Steemit and start blogging so i can earn while doing what i love. So i did, and here i am, on my full week cycle as a Steemian.
How is my experience with Steemit so far?
My first day on Steemit was bittersweet. I was so happy that at long last, i already have a blog and my first post is already live. I was so excited that finally, people will get to see my work. On the other hand, i was really worried that my readers may not like it. I have been so anxious about my views and votes. Almost every minute i would go to my blog and see if the views have gone up already, and i keep on thinking about the things i have to do for my blog to get noticed.
Everyday, i post new article to my blog. Contents that i think would interest my readers. I kept going for days until my followers started to increase, as well as my views and upvotes. It may not be that much as of yet, but i am just happy with the progress i have made. I for sure will strive harder to get to where i'm aim to be.
What I do now?
I have figured out few things to get noticed. First, i have been posting regularly to create traffic. Second, I follow bloggers that inspires me to get better at what i do. Third, i reach out to Steemit communities that are willing to support each other not just in terms of upvotes and follows, but also in giving useful tips and tricks. I'm so much thankful to these communities for giving me genuine comments and suggestions for my blog. That is just what i need right now.
What are my learnings?
So far, the most essential learnings from becoming a Steemian is that, If you love what you do, it'll never feel like a burden to you. Also i learned that , there are people out there, mostly strangers, who are willing to guide and help you improve and be a step closer to your goal. And in the process, these strangers will become your friends inside and outside Steemit.
So to my readers, if you've been on Steemit for quite a while, you're such an inspiration. And if you're a newbie like me, steem On! We can do this together!
