My Tips On How To Gain More Followers?
I'm not claiming to have the magic recipe, and I am definitely not a professional blogger, but I must be doing something right to have gained 3000 followers in under a year without using any cheats, tricks or bots.
This has all happened organically which in my eye's, is the only way to succeed on steemit. Keeping it real, is a big deal.
Along with keeping it real and original, You also need to be very active in the comment section. Next to my followers it says that I have done 3208 posts, which are mostly comments. Interacting with your audience is a big part of steemit and is one of the only ways to build up a genuine following of people who keep coming back. This gets harder with the more followers you have but I still try to reply to as many as possible. One thing that gets easier with time is being able to spot the fake automated comments, I would hate to think how many hours I wasted in the beginning replying to robots, so watch out for those.
How To Get Noticed By The Big Players!
To get BIG on steemit, you need to make some noise and stand out from the crowd. There are many ways to achieve this and if you are good at building ground breaking apps or can come up with ideas such as Dtube or utopian.io then it wont take long before you hit the big time.
But just because the rest of us were not born with Einstein abilities, doesn't mean we can't make it big on steemit. Take me for example, I was no good at blogging, crap at spelling and grammar and terrible with computers. This just meant I had to be extra inventive to be able to make a splash in these whale infested waters.
I knew that @jeffberwick did me a huge favour in convincing me to join steemit and by then I was also sure that steemit could change the world, so I decided to hit the streets in an attempt to help steemit and @markwhittam grow and get some much needed attention.
And it worked!
I did this for steemit
but I also wanted to get noticed by the whales.
And as it happened,
I got noticed by the biggest whale of all
@ned upvoted and resteemed my Paris post and if you
don't believe me look at the 31st post on his feed =)

So that was it!
After all that I could just sit back
relax and watch the money roll in, right?

you'll have to come back for part 2 =)

I think its a lot about showing that you're giving back to Steemit. You're promoting it off your own back and you believe in it. You've commited to it. The best ingrediants for success.
Thank you @shivvi!
I really enjoy spreading the word about steemit, and I believe anyone can make it here, it just takes dedication and some perseverance. I believe steemit will grow and once all our friends are on here then it will be easier to get noticed.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
I enjoyed read your post a few days ago. You are one of the benefactors who cares about beginners steemit. I just want to ask you. Can we join @familyprotection about CPA from Aceh?
Robot? This is weird, its a regurgitation of your comment, I've seen this before. What do you think @shivvi

I ponder demonstrating that you're offering back to Steemit. You're advancing it off your own particular back and you trust in it. You've commuted to it. The best ingredients for progress.
thats weird. my comments had a tag put on it aswell which i didnt do. i'm obviously very quotable!
I would say so! =)
Great post.. will re-steemit to charge with my followers.. as we all need to do better.
Doing what we love to do and sharing it here will mean a success and happiness but if just are only after the money we will find it to be a gruelling and pressured work which will mean a failure in the end. It is awesome that you are just so active in promoting steemit, you are a gem to the community.
This really inspiring story ..you got really amazing idea to get success on steemit...thanks for sharing ...waiting for next part..
Wow that is so cool. Yeah i been here in steem for amlost a year . But my followers are not much . I guess i need to do some changes and work ma ass off . I mean do commenting and more blogging . 😊😊😊
Thankie for the tips .
I knew I needed steemit to live a life of freedom, so I went all in! I think when all the robots take our jobs then platforms like steemit will be our savior.
Bless.
Platforms like steemit will help, but I think it will be more about providing value to those around us. You have shown your value to steemit, and the steemit community has responded.
Thank you for your effort!
Congratulations my friend for achieving this milestone. 3000 followers is huge and remember I'm one of them.
Great tips though to help us grow. Thanks dear
Thank you @wa2qr!
I'm glad you appreciate this post, and that I have gained another follower, I shall follow you and hope to see you on the trending page in the future =)
Yep sure. I have gained a friend. And I think your content is good. Thank you anyways
Though I listened to Jeff Berwick invite me to Steemit, It was Greg Mannarino of Marketreport that made me feel safe to make the move.
Thanks for sharing that with us @enjoywithtroy I wonder how many people joined because of these people?
Bless.
First of all Congratulations for 3k+ followers, and Thank you for revealing all this info, I personally benefit from it a lot. Lately I see the majority support only their friends or Family more on the platform even if the contents quality is low, However, There are some few great people here who Support the content itself without even knowing who produced it.
This platform is so vast and its only just begun, people all over the world are waking up to crypto so its only natural that they gravitate to steemit.
Everyone who has quiet had a relative success has always mentioned that @ned factor, make me wish I had seem steemit earlier howbeit I use to key into some if the concept you mentioned here, and I have 1.3k followers in under 7 months out of nothing.
Your story is incredibly amazing and wonderful
It's never too late! You'll see! I thought I was too late to the party when I first got here!
Followed!

Your welcome! We were all beginner's in the beginning =)
Whooo where have ya been @markwhittam. I'm following ya now. I love your post. Educating, precise and on point. I ENJOYED reading.
you are right @markwhittam we should invest in btc and join steemit but my thaughts are that not tottaly invest in btc but invest in other currencies too and also btc . and steemit is the best platform for earning and fun. steemit is tree of fruit and btc is just fruit . if we eat this fruit after some time it will be end and finish. but steemit is tree of fuit and we can eat in our whole life

Your comment is a remix of this comment my close friend left.
I get these type of comments a lot. They take one of the highest upvoted comments, and then just rephrase it a bit, hoping that their comment will get voted on too. It is SO annoying.
A very interesting post, may we stay in this media steemit though never met! @markwhittam
Thanks for your post for motivation and inspiration to do something, really thanks a lot
Informasi yang bagus
Excellent information thanks @markwhittam
This is post that i really need at this time.I think i am like you.I am not a good blogger ,my grammar my spelling were not very good 2 months ago.But since i join steemit i saw a huge difference in my communication skills besides money .

Good Ke @markwhittam
Your road to success is interesting and the experience of your writing says it all!
Excellent post on steemit success- I remember seeing one of your road show giving free beer. I always enjoy reading about your travels in Europe and your house on wheels. You have really worked hard and you deserve everything you earned and more. Am glad to be following and wishing you greater future success. Thank you for sharing those cool tips-looking forward to part 2 :)
Wow din't know you did this! I just promote steemit along friends, you leveled way way up! You got a new follower I really like what your doing along the road. Ultimate freedom, little bit jealous I think. Don't know if I would have the guts...?
When you first introduced me to Steemit outside Max in Skellefteå I had no idea of what would come out of that short conversation. To be honest I did not believe that it would work as well as it has. You were talking about making a living from posting on steemit and I did not believe that would be possible, at least not in as short a time as it has been - it's less than a year later now!
You have made it big here on steemit and I am very happy for you!
I still have a long way to go, but I haven't done anything as crazy as the Steemit Roadshow to get noticed either. I do believe, just as you say, that the only good way of growing is to let it happen organically, one comment and follower at the time.
This is great. And for those u
Of us that arent able to travel like that we can build local orgs to build up steemit and the commumity
Your ways was correct and all of us should follow it, even with our own twists. Maybe it's still possible if we believe strong.
Great story Mark. Meeting you in Spain inspired me to crack on with Steemit - even though I had held an account for over a year beforehand and done nothing with it - Doh!
Still, the second best time to start something is now :D
I feel the bets thing to do to build a genuine following as you said is to spend time commenting on peoples posts - engaging in what they are sharing and also replying to comments on your own blog!
Great story. Way to contribute to the community in a positive way. Lookin' forward to the next chapter!
Great post - Mark - inspirational. Thanks for sharing in promo-steem where I found it, upvoted it and resteemed it ... Cheers
As a new Steemian I can use all of the advice possible. I love to comment on other's posts so that is an easy one to do. Gathering new followers does come slowly. Patience and continuous posting is key too! Thank you for your post. Well done!
Great to see good people do great things! I think for the people who truly believe in Steemit (which is nearly everyone I meet here) it just gets in the blood somehow. Only last weekend I found myself talking about Steemit outside of the pub in Dublin where I was with some fellow Steemians. It's become my favourite past time LOL. (and driving friends nuts with it!)
Awesome. I can't wait to see you part 2 of your success story on Steemit.
I am just like you, I am not very liking social media and I don't think that I ever will, except Steemit. It is just so different and I love it.
But I'm still struggling with inviting people or sharing it with others or even making myself stand out, but I am trying my best and I am consistent so hopefully it will get better or I will end up with some new idea etc.
Did you happen to be in those countries and then decide to do a road show, or you purposefully went there to do roadshows?
I think I will try the ways you suggest broo....
Congratulations on your followers.
I always see leaving comments as a growth suggestion. I agree.
Jangan lupat upvote saya ya kakak
Well buddy glad to know about your journey in here !
You did worked hard and with joy so the results are coming out to you in here !
Will try to follow some tips from you !
Steem on !
@royaltiesboss-eu
Always helps me to hear it can be done without bots, etc. I've been itching to get on the road. Every time I see your tiny house, I can hardly stand it.
Well your enthusiasm and excitement is what got me to join, it really is all about the community and Steemit has such huge potential because it is connecting so many people all over the world and when you reach out to them and create amazing projects like @familyprotection well then you deserve to grow and grow. Well done @Markwhittam onwards and upwards.
You did a lot for promoting Steemit, you are worth to have so many followers! Nice design layout~
That's a great post i read in a while definitely it will help me a lot time to get started thanks for all the tips :)
haha, a nice intrigue for the second part-))
you really were very active outside Steemit site, and you had to be noticed, and you were noticed-)
good advice! I am waiting for the continuation-)
Fantastic mark. Your journey has been awesome, and in many ways similar to my own on here. You beat me to the 3K point by a few days I reckon.... Congratulations on a great milestone. It really is a big one. Hope to see you promo-steeming even more!!
Great story! Very motivational reading about how you got where you are. Wow, and a ned upvote — that must have felt pretty freakin good when you saw that.
Keep up the great job, man. I am following you now. Hope for more tips and ideas.
