This could be my last blog on here. Sorry to disappoint all six of my followers. I don't know about anyone else but its a bit of a kick down below, to write blogs, get some voted on, but get absolutely no financial reward for them, as in the blog stays at $0.00 .
That brings me to the topic of my blog. I believe Steemit has been getting a steady influx of new users, mainly due to word of mouth from people like The Dollar Vigilante, and other people on Youtube and other social media with large followings, coming on here and telling there supporters about the site, so they in turn come on here. I know if it wasnt for getting an email from TDV talking about this site i never would have found out about it.
When i see people writing blogs on Steemit and making thousands per post, i say good on them. But i like i said at the start, its demoralizing when my blogs dont make anything and when they do its very, very little.
I think what i plan to do is stay on here and just read other people's blogs, but in particular blogs from people such as TDV - compulsory reading in my opinion.
That's the only reason i can think of that other 'little fish', new people would stay on here. I can't picture new people continually writing blogs every day with little reward and to continue doing it when they see others, making thousands per blog. Honestly who wants to keep writing blogs day in day out when they make $0.00 .
Eventually Steemit will face the same problem other sites like Facebook and Twitter face? What happens when you reach peak registered users? And worse than that, what happens when a percentage of the registered users become ghosts and are registered in name only. That is why i think companies like Facebook and Twitter are absurdly overvalued, yes they have millions and millions of registered people, but how amny of those people are actually users and consumers of those sites. I just have a facebook account to easily login to sites!
Like i said, this will be my last blog. From now on i will just read blogs. To all those new people that want to make a go of it, good luck to you.
Over and out.
i'm just curious how much u made within this timeframe on FB or Twitter etc.! I don't get the attitude tbh! Instead of continue writing .. and yes for mayb on top of that a nice decent reward if some "whale" is dropping by. It's pity to see that people are just again into for the money and don't realize what a unique "golden" opportunity we all got here - pity u give up directly ..
tbh let me know who was making real money with blogging before? I would be interested in numbers. @dollarvigilante - what for example are your numbers ... what revenue your blog has? i know this is private personal question i just want to encourage everyone to be honest to himself and looking at the own door ..
Thanks for you time
It would be great to see u continue blogging - just said.
i've voted for another posts of yours .. hopefully this can motivates you to continue posting ...(it's not much but a start.)
you voted on his post "The best way to use Steemit is to not even think about financial gain" thats a little bit funny, when i see this post here.
Nice you motivate poeple here. keep up your good community work.
Hi! I have upvoted on your post. https://steemit.com/steemit/@martinwilson20/the-best-way-to-use-steemit-is-to-not-even-think-about-financial-gain
My upvote is only $0.30
It is a good post and i am sorry that i did not see it because it is not visible. Please do not leave.
If you article of 4 short paragraphs got 56 votes and $51 and my well-researched and well-cite article here https://steemit.com/nature/@coinbitgold/nature-has-no-voice-and-how-steemians-can-speak-for-them got 64 and $8, u know how things are here like. I was sad but have got over it. I have picked up the pen or started typing again :-) So you should too :-)
and commenting on other blog posts is still underrated. people who actually read and comment with something helpful and relevant are still rare. so yeah... do that lots.
I think commenting on posts is important too. When you comment on posts that interest you, more people get exposed to who you are, how you write, etc, and then they start to follow you. ALtho, if you are constantly griping, people might not be inclined to pay attention.
Have an upvote and hang in there. Add more media to your posts so it breaks up the paragraphs. Make it more engaging. We are in an age of 140 character posts that includes images, gifs, and youtube videos.
Hi :)
Steemit currency is dropping off in value! It is perhaps the best indicator of how people generally perceiving the platform at this time.
Its true that small time or ordinary bloggers will not making a living out of steemit. Even if you get 1-time jackpot of say $10,000 blog, it will take 2 years for you to put in your wallet, & in weekly basis. Absurd!
Anyways, there will come soon other competitors that may provide better ways of rewarding users. 'YoursNetwork' & Ethereum-based platform are coming soon...
what did/do you get from facebook? blog for fun not for making living .... steemit at least give you a hope to get some reward form what you posted
eth is a toy for Kindergarten.... you will find it out soon .... it is only good for showing off... LOL
