It's true. The community is funny that way. Not everyone, but many don't see the similarities.
I find it odd that more people don't see the damage that is being done by all these vote-bots. They seem to think that these things will bring them prosperity. I don't see how having a ton of Steem that is worthless will bring any prosperity at all. Steem has to have real value in order for its accumulation to bring prosperity. The platform needs to survive in order for Steem to have value.
