There does seem to be a lot of mental masturbation going on, especially about steem and steemit. You have to look at the new section to read anything new. There are great articles to browse if you stay away from the trending or hot sections. Articles on homelessness, art, some awesome stories on travel and peoples countries of origin. I only post steemit stuff to fb and havent gone on there in a while because I'd rather have steemit then a steaming pile like fb.
