I have seen some Steemians question the injustice of why people with celebrity status instantly start trending into the $000's while unknown participants, who write 'fantastic' articles, may return $0.05 after hours of toil, if they're lucky.
Most of my articles go unseen, but I for one, purely from a selfish Economic perspective, having invested in Steem Power, am delighted with the latest development.
Take the Dollar-Vigilante as an example, I have listened to many of his youtube interviews for free over the years. He has put hundreds, if not thousands of hours into developing his reputation and listening audience.
This instant reward will encourage the Dollar-Vigilante to spread the word about Steemit to his many youtube followers and they will tell their friends, so expanding the userbase substantially.
I am sure the big Whales and Dolphins understand basic Economics 101 and realise the benefit that will accrue to all of us from the lastest celebrity Steemians climbing on board Steemit.
Yes we know the reasons for it but it still doesn't look very good as I stated in my lengthy response to that post. The benefits might not materialise if it puts people off continuing to post but you can read my previous response if you are interested in reading more.
Good point, we'll have to wait and see how it plays out as it's happened now. It would be nice to get paid for a blog, but as you can see from my usual payouts, I do it for the love of blogging alone😃

The more "big leaguers" join the network, the better the whole STEEM economy will get.
I think this is just the beginning and many more Internet media "heavy weights" will eventually join.
