I'm starting to realise the financial beauty of Steemit after a few days playing about.
The name of the game seems to be to get upvoted by people who have made a real investment in Steem Power that seem to be categorized as whales or dolphins. Being upvoted by someone with no investment in the platform is worthless and, from an economic point of view, makes total sense. The developers have obviously and rightly rationalised, if someone doesn't commit and invest then they shouldn't have an economic voice.
I guess people will argue that it shouldn't be so financially dependent but then all the other social media outlets are available for them to express themselves.
I was never very interested in social media up until now, but with a financial incentive, I have been motivated to finally find my voice. I'm even starting to think it could be addictive and I understand why half the world is stuck to their smartphone.
Thanks Steemit
This site is really addictive, we may need a support group soon!
It would be more convenient for the addicted ones to have that group inside steemit :P
ASAP.
SA - Steemit Annonymous 😃
If anyone is interested I wrote up the The Twelve Steps of Steemit Anonymous

[Mistake - Edited]
Thanks for letting me know.
It's a mistake, but we still don't know do edits affect payout.
Welcome to the world of social media!!! And at the best possible time!!!
Thanks Rea
There's something about it
nice argument. I feel a little different and you find my concern here https://steemit.com/steemit/@apes/how-many-active-users-with-influence-has-steemit
It truly is addictive. The more time passes the more the gap between contributors and "just spammers" widens, but right now it's still very early. Tons of good content gets overlooked simply because there's no audience or no one with a big wallet is voting.
