Thank you for this very informative post @diabolika!
I too experienced the blessing of having one of my short stories found by a Curie curator. It was the best thing ever to wake up the morning after I posted and see the upvotes on my post!
I must admit I have used the bots to get upvotes. I don't have enough faith in the system to have my work seen by enough eyes if it remains at zero votes. But you make a very good point about recycling money this way.
I appreciate Curie and the job they do. I would not be where I am on this journey if they had not pushed one of my stories to trending, there is no doubt about that.
I am excited to see what a distorted mind has to offer in your other posts, and will visit them soon!
Have a great remainder of your weekend!
Congrats on being discovered by Curie! I just hope you won't get attached to the rewards, and may you continue writing for the love of it, rewards or not.
I do understand, I have used it too. It's just a temporary solution to the system, for our work not getting seen. I have actually posted something about this in the past, you may read when you have time.
Reality Check, the Game & Crowd Behavior - My Analysis and Proposed Solution to My Dear Followers
I just went over and read that, thanks for the link. I did enjoy the read.
And yeah. I'm not counting on any more rewards. I am sitting right on the cusp of being too high reputation for another Curie nomination, so that's going to be in the rear-view mirror. But I appreciate their help in getting where I am today.
Thanks again for the link. You have very wise words to share!!
No worries, though I believe, Curie will still upvote an exceptional content, regardless of being high reputation. Anyways, just be yourself. Thanks!
