RE: Steemit about to drop out of Alexa top 1000

I got about 3/4 of the way down the comments, reading a decent bit but scanning most of it and the one point I have yet to see brought up is the passwords.
To an average user coming from somewhere else I can tell you it's super frustrating.
I get that there's points of security to make the passwords so complex, but so complex that you couldn't even remember if you tried and or are forced to do things with it that compromise it. Example always having to cut and paste it, store it in a txt file, email it to yourself.

I had to make my first flag last night, didn't even have my post up 5 minutes was supposedly voted on by a bot; but no vote was there just the blanked out comment saying he did.

Another huge problem is feeling compelled to follow a bunch of people but not actually being able to sort through your feed in any way.

Sort:

I use Lastpass for my passwords. They are actually encryption keys and so have to be complex to be secure. Otherwise someone could steal your funds or pose as you.

There are tools appearing that can help with the feed. The Steem Plus extension has filters.

It takes time to build a following here, but you can see I get good engagement with my posts even if I don't make as much as others.

My biggest problem is their's probably several thousand orphaned accounts on account of it, granted they should be more careful with their keys.
But to have to store them in such ways; outlook, text files and your clip board are some of the most exploited by intruders.
I've found extensions for other sites that will look for updates but was hoping to find something customizable.

You really need a good password manager with encryption. I have hundreds of passwords to manage and this also helps avoid issues with entering them into fake sites.
