I saw this post because @hornblende resteemed it. I was checking out his blog list for articles because he has interacted with me a lot on Steemit, and has a lot of really great original articles himself. He's one of my favorites to check in on. As you have so thoughtfully written, learning is the key to growing here, and the learning process includes shifting ones thinking away from the initial presentation of Steemit being an income source, and onto the idea that each person has a responsibility to add value and earn a reputation and following, and income ends up being a by-product of that process.
