First of all, I have to say that comparing these social networks is not so easy because in their functionality they are all different and it matters how you use them and what is important for you.
As I mentioned in my introduction post, I like it to write. I had already an own blog sharing some thoughts most of them apart from soccer. That's why from within steemit has a significant advantage over the others. In my opinion, Facebook is not suitable for blogging. It is possible but in my opinion not really designed for that. Instagram has nothing to do with blogging, and twitter, yes I like the idea, but if you want to share some deeper thoughts, it's not possible. Because it's their unique feature to cut it short also called microblogging. I have all three of them, but I don’t really use them. And I will tell you why.
The reason is that all my fans or most of them have only one thing in mind: Football! And that is totally ok. But I do not like it so much. every time to talk about football, football, and more football is bothering me. Yes, you heard it right. It's bothering me!
Why? I am not that kind of player who likes that. It's my job and I love it to play, I am playing since I am three years old, but apart from my job I am more than that. My Job is one part of me, an important part but only ONE PART of my whole person. And this is not only in my case. It's the same with you. Your job is important, it is that where you earn your money and you are responsible, but I don’t believe that you let your job define who you really are. In this kind of thinking, I see a huge problem. If you let your skills define who you are it could end up dangerous.
I am not the type of person who feels the urge to share every sporting moment with my followers. Don't get me wrong I never condemn my colleagues who like that. And believe me, many players like to share every moment. If it would be allowed, I think some would take their smartphone to the pitch to catch some selfies :D
This is also the reason why I didn’t write until now so much in depth about my business. It will come for sure. One German newspaper called me one time: The most special football player. You can read it here, but it's written in German.
I don’t know where you are from, but you have to know that in Europe football has high value.
People are treating you sometimes like you were something extraordinary. But honestly, I am nothing special! I am a simple human being like everyone else.
On the other social networks my follower wants only content what is related to my job, and again I can totally understand that.
Here on Steemit I have the feeling that I can express myself also in different ways. And this is fascinating for me. Really Fascinating! Not to be reduced only to a stupid machine which runs after a ball. There are many cliches out there some are true some not. Steemit combines for me something I can never have on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
I can write, and I can express myself to people who care what I want to share and not what they want to hear because I am doing something special in their eyes. This what I love about Steemit. But this is only my personal view. Maybe you have also your reason why you prefer Steemit over other social networks if it's so then let me know in the comments.
The last three days I read and spoke a lot with other people about Steempower. First I didn’t think that this is so important like many people are writing. But from what I have learned it is.
It's a great feeling when you score a goal. But if you serve your Teammate and make an assist it's a better feeling. To make this post not too long I will write about this in another post.
Thanks for reading. If you find this interesting or maybe helpful you would honor me with an up vote and a resteem.
But like always feel free my friend.
Much love... It sucks being pigeonholed and forced (implicitly or explicitly) to express only one aspect of our complex multi-faceted beings
Yes, you say it. Great how you did this! Upvote from me.
Oh, i totaly understand this one. I was quite successful with what I did the last years, but it really hurts be only seen through the "what you do" -lense. Its my job, i love it, i am good in it, but thats all, IT IS NOT ME! The point is, through being minimized to what I do, i really started disliking what I am so good at. This really troubles me right know to go on. I can´t help myself, I just do not want to do it anymore. I didn´t work for almost a year now, and I do not know yet, what to do instead. (I do clay artistry)
PS: I am using Facebook as well, because there are all my friends i know already for years. They just don´t want to come over. Twitter i do not know at all.
You speak from my heart. In this comment I feel that you know what I am talking about. Sometimes I have the same feeling. They want we only because of one thing but there is so much more. More? We don't care we want that you play football and win I hear them say often. But I I think this will not change so fast.
Could you maybe tell me
More about your job? How did you get in there?
No, i don´t think it will change. Because they invest a lot of money into it, and there are so many more out there, who would love to do what you do. It´s a taff business world you are in. Many, many years ago I have been a professional speed skater, I know a little bit about sport world and its "cold hand". But i left already when I was 21, out of an injury.
What I was referring to before is my natural building business. I got quite keen learning about alternative building with clay, straw and other natural material. And together with talent I became quite good and known well. I went even to the US to plaster a house in Arizona with loads of clay. And beside, i began to be more artistry with clay. Pictures will tell more: https://waidblaumala.wordpress.com/lehmsandstroh/
I`ve changed my website also a few month ago. Before this one, just everything was about natural building, now it got it´s place between other interests.
Somehow, i got a disgust about what I´ve loved, because of what I´ve told you already. I still hope it will pass, and I can just go on. At the end, we should not care what, or how others think or how they see us. Just do your thing. And I think you do well. You write! Thats wonderful! And maybe, something else will come. Perhaps you are a great teacher, or trainer, who knows how to help young football kids into something which really matters in life. And perhaps, you have to make a great football career on your own, just about finding out. Who knows. Stay true to yourself, you´ll be fine.
Guter Post.
Nice post and very well written, I can totally see how you would get sick of football and as a fan myself I know we can be a bit too intense at times. I'm a musician but I have many other interests, for example cryptocurrency. Are you interested in Bitcoin, Ethereum etc or are you just here to use Steemit as a place to host your blog?
Thanks for your understanding. With Steemit I got in touch with crypto currency and I like it. It is a bit complex right now but everyday i am learning a bit more about it :)
Yeh it takes a while to learn. One tip is that when you first start to use crypto only transfer small amounts until you are confident with it because it's possible when you're first starting you can make a mistake and lose some coins
Thanks for that advice. So transferring is no problem at all. This is running good, but to understand the whole technology behind it is really important I guess. Until now I only transfer and used bitcoin because with other coins I am not so familiar until now.

Nice post mate, you did it so clear and clean. Nice pics of yourself too. Upvoted, and thanks for sharing!
Particular unaffected projection sentiments no my. Music marry as at cause party worth weeks. Saw how marianne graceful dissuade new outlived prospect followed. Uneasy no settle whence nature narrow in afraid. At could merit by keeps child. While dried maids on he of linen in.
I really enjoyed this post Modernpastor. Just the thought of letting Facebook get its tentacles into my private life kept me away from that platform, but I do use Twitter simply for headlines, and info. Although after being on Steemit a couple of months, I rarely look at Twitter anymore.
Originally I'm from the USA and you surely know football is something very different there. I only watch "real" football every four years -- World Cup. So I for one will think of you as Modernpastor, though I will come back later and read the article to learn what makes you a special football player. I think you have a very wise attitude, football is what you do, it isn't who you are.
About Steempower, I want to share something with you. There is a voting service that is unique, it is called @discordia . It functions like the others, you transfer something to them and put the post link in the memo line. What is different about it is, it works best when you do it for other people. It will upvote the post, but they also look at it (if it isn't your own post) and sometimes the post will get a nice bonus vote!
So because I liked your post and it inspired me, I nominated this post. So hopefully my nomination will be accepted and you will get a nice upvote from discordia.
:-)
@roused
Finde ich super dass du hier andere Themen ansprichst wie Fussball.

Some of it is really cool!
Nice post. Steem is definitely a better place for bigger thoughts and more expressive articles. I have one for my filmmaking but I was thinking of putting one up for personal content as well. What I like about Steem is that it's going to have it's own version of Instagram, Facebook, Blogger and Twitter built into the same infrastructure and WE get rewarded for using it! I'm looking forward to abandoning those other platforms when the time is right.
Thanks for your great comment. I agree with you. Steemit combines so much what the centralized networks also have. And you are right. Here you get also rewarded :)
Some good points here. A thoughtful article.
Gave you an upvote. I like Steemit because no censorship and you can speak your mind. With everything happening on YouTube, I feel some YouTubers should come here to make up for all the money they lost
Ich freue mich dich hier bei Steemit mit jeden Tag näher kennenzulernen.
From what I am reading on a lot of steemit post is that the authors assume a different persona than their traditional real self. They seem free from the prison of the world and it's people. Steemit it seems really takes people by surprise and they get deep into it's platform.
I'm kind of new, and I'm liking this site so far. I'm interested into what's going to happen in 2018 with Steem.
i don't like others social because steemit is best sometime i will use facebook
but i spend i alot of time is steemit with same reason i like steemit
This platform has a huge potential to get really big!
I'm in much of agrreement on your opinion for steemit over the other social networks.
I can understand what you mean when you say don't let your job or career define you cause it could be dangerous. Sometimes that where I meet with burnout is when what I do in my career becomes what I'm doing in my personal time. You got my vote for whatever it's worth.
Thank you very much, my friend. You said true words.
Yeah, i totally understand your point. It's amazing the different points of view. Between what you saw, and football fans. And its brave you open like that on Steem. Voted and followed.
Saludos!
It's an honor for me :)
I like to try different things.
