One Week on Steemit: My Review! A social network you have to learn about.

My SteemitReviewafter One Week affinty Verbesserung.png

I am now one week on this platform, and I want to share my opinion about steemit.
First of all, I like the engagement of the community here. I see that people want that this site grows and gets really big. Of course, if more people are coming the potential to earn more is logically higher. And this is the main point I saw here during my first week here. I will try to explain what I mean.

Do you know the fact that, if you are really good at something, other people are so friendly to you because they keep in their back to profit from you later? Maybe you know this situation. Often when I read some post here and also the comments, I got this kind of feeling. Users are so friendly, but actually, they are not interested in your content, but they write a nice comment to impress you, that you get an eye on them.

If you take a closer look at some comments, you can see if someone indeed read your post or is just makes a comment for the sake of commenting. I know that stemmit is a social community and one key is to be social and to participate with other. I do not want to impute anything to anyone, believe me. But often I have the feeling that this kind of friendliness is motivated by one thing. Trying to make as much money as possible. It's great that stemmit rewards content creators on this platform, it is great and important that we support each other, BUT: I think that the motivation for some could be miss leaded. That's only my expression; I could be wrong.

I wish that in some cases the focus should be stronger on the more on content you want to produce and share with this community. I want to see that people on the same topic or similarities find and serve each other.

Also, this platform is the first social network you have to learn about it how it works. About the technical background if you are interested in. But I mean more general important things like, what is actually the difference between Steem, Steempower, and Steemdollar, for example. What are mVest? What kind of tools are available and for what and how do I use them to reach my goal? This Platform leads you to learn about itself. And I think it's important to get to know how this social network works, and what you can all do with it. So if you are also new here, then I recommend putting your first effort to learn about Steemit. This will take some times. After one Week I have still so many questions, but I know they will be answered by time.

What I also really like is that constantly new functions will be added to create the continuous better user experience. For me, it's a good sign that this platform will unleash his full potential in the future. And that's why you should have a long-term thinking.

To be honest: This Community can give you financial freedom, that can change your whole life. And I know that you know that. All here knows that. And that is absolutely fine. But how you want to reach that goal. Do you want to sprint, or do you run with perseverance? It's up to you.

All in all, I like this platform really much, and I am sure that it will be getting better in term of the user experience here.
This is my one week review so far. I would like to know how your experience is so far. Feel free to write it in the comments.

After nearly three weeks I still have so many questions unanswered too. But the FAQ section is a great help. Yeah, we have people here who has the wrong idea of how things work here or are just generally lazy to make any noticeable difference to the platform apart of spams, plagiarism in the quest to hit the steem dollars, steem etc.

With time such individuals will fizzle out or just become irrelevant as they will get the flag they so deserved.

Good thing about Steemit is they hit content pirates, where YouTube turns blind eye

Spot on! The flag takes them away.

Yes, you're right. The FAQ section is a great help. I also I agree with you that some people don't want to make a difference. It's not in their mind to create content that actually helps others. Thanks for your great comment.

Glad you agree.

Another thing I like about Steemit, I see it as a replacement for crowdfunding. Some of us struggle as it is, and we have no money to donate, so now we can upvote a post. FOR FREE, to support our favorite creators. Say you need a surgery and can't afford it, Steemit got you covered. It is a wonderful community. Steemit will live on!

I think u r doing well...well ahead of some. Welcome!

Thank you :)

Hi... It took me almost a month to know how steemit works... one month ago I had no idea about what crypto currency is...
But this platform lacks many things... which makes 80% users of steemit go inactive... I hope they will fix it soon

I will calculate this time for me :D Yes, there is so much to learn about it.
I also just started my journey in crypto currency. But i didnt know that 80% user go inactive. Wow!

What would you say the platform lacks compared to other social media platforms? I'm interested
What I noticed is that the new DTube feature is still not working very well. I have difficulty to upload my videos, while I have no difficulties doing that on youtube.

I agree with all you said in the post but no community can be 100% pure, i think Steemit is big step forward...

Thank you. I also agree with you.

Well I only made my first post today and I still have to see what's in store for me, but this is an uplifting and inspiring post, dude! It's nice that content like this is promoted. I hope this works out for you :)

Its my first day on this social site and seriously i noticed the same thing, i have not understood how things work here, researching about it now, gonna post some useful stuff for the community soon. Best of luck to both of Us :)

Thank you @modernpastor for sharing your thoughts and everyone else for commenting and supporting. I have been here for a month. I learned few things but am still learning as well.
I posted/resteemed few posts answering some of the questions new people have, especially about money. Maybe its time to revisit the subject and make another reminder.
You can check my page (don't worry: I am not asking for upvotes. some of the posts are old already).
But in all honesty, everyone here wants to make money, even the people who made A LOT of money they still want to make more. So, nothing wrong with that. Except, be ready for a surprise and disappointment if thats your only reason here. Many people are struggling for the same reason but the money is not easy to get. Maybe it will be for you! I don't know.

Finally, sometimes its nice to be polite and give nice words. True that not everyone reads the contents we write, but I still appreciate their comments. It makes me feel that at least they were kind enough to make an effort and write something. Better than looking and leaving without voting or commenting. After all, it is human to want to feel appreciated one way or another :)

The auto-voting bots get pretty annoying after a while and sometimes it feels like this place is just a big popularity contest. There is so much spamming that legit content gets buried under the mounds of crap almost instantly now. I write a post every day if I can and always make it unique and valuable for my readers. I take pride in the fact that I'm not just copy-pasting someone else's hard work and capitalizing on them.

I think the idea behind Steemit may be stronger than the execution. It's early days and the big challenge is to translate the concept of egalitarian ownership into a site that works. The Facebook model is that of an old fashioned top down ownership. This model has stood the test of time and it works. Hence any egalitarian collectively owned and run vision has a lot of catching up to do. I suspect Steemit may fall by the wayside eventually but no doubt it will have been an influence on whatever site finally does manage to achieve the goal of a true collectively owned and run social media site.

Thanksgiving for this great comment.
