This Is most asked question that What is Bandwidth? here on steemit. Many people encounter this problem in the beginning. That is very frustrating experience.Once I have met This problem. Most of the new users do not Know Until they face this problem. They make lots of comments and posts with out any care because they think that it is like a Facebook so they continue to comment, resteem, upvote and follow. But they come to know when they are not able to post or comment any thing. So Keep in Mind that Steemit is not like Facebook it is based on blockchain that has many limitations.
So Question Is That
What The Hell Is Bandwidth?
Simply Bandwidth is Information carrying capacity. In Steemit It can Be Expanlied as How much information you can upload and download in a certain block of Steemit.Bandwidth carrying capacity depends upon How much steem power you have and your rewards you get from a certain block of steemit. Because When ever you collect a reward you get a certain share in the block chain of steemit that increase your band width. As far I noticed bandwidth depends most on how much rewards you are getting in steem power increase your bandwidth. It depends less on your steem power. Your reward gives you certain share in the blockchain that increases your bandwidth.
How To Avoid From Bandwidth Limit exceeded Problem?
There are some things you must care to avoid this Problem:
1)Quality
Produce Quality content so that you may get good rewards that will make you a good share in the blockchain of steemit that will increase your bandwidth.
2)Post Regularly
This an Other thing you must care. To Avoid This problem post regularly because steemit is a blockchain based network new blocks are being mined every second when ever a new block mined you lose your bandwidth that you have in the last block. so you need to post regularly to get rewards and to make a share in every new block.
3)Don't Make Unnecessary Comments:
If you are new to steemit do not make Unnecessary comments because you already have the low bandwidth you may lose your all your bandwidth. So comment whenever you have something to say. Do not make Shitty Comments Like Upvoted,Following You, and Follow For Follow etc.
4)Avoid Editing Posts and Comments:
Do not Edit Posts and Comment. Look twice or thrice before posting a post and a comment. Make sure that it is correct and every thing is fine before you click.
5)Do Not Resteem Every Post:
This Another Factor that affects your bandwidth because you are storing others data on your timeline that eat your bandwidth so avoid resteeming Every post.
How To Check Your Remaining Bandwidth?
There are many sites That Tell you about your remaining bandwidth but I Use Steemd. So have a look on your Bandwidth and keep enjoying steemit.

Very helpful, thanks :-)
amazing explaining, thank you very much, I wanted to know about that ☺
Thanks
I do not know why I am writing this stupid comment and wasting my bandwidth. This is an example of what you should not do.
Thank you.
Great recommendations for newcommers!
I've seen my bandwidth decrease when upvoting or editing my profile, but I can't find the exact bandwidth costs of each action. Is there a place where I can check that? Is there perhaps a tool that allows me to calculate how much bandwidth a certain action consumes?
Ok, this makes sense, thank you. I wish I had seen it sooner but good informational post.
Good information 👌
Thanks, Man!

2)Post Regularly
This an Other thing you must care. That point right there helped me make sense of how Steemit works. I'm super brand new to the platform (7 days), and so I'm still figuring out how everything works. But like I said to @rkrijgsman under his post about bandwidth (https://steemit.com/steemit/@rkrijgsman/the-bandwidth-problem-on-steemit#@joshpeterson/re-rkrijgsman-the-bandwidth-problem-on-steemit-20170830t054718694z), you're saving me a future headache. And so while my bandwidth is limited, I'll upvote this post because it deserves it.
Thank you.
My Pleasure Sir!
Hahaha thank you, it is very informative, i was wondering what was the use of it.
The hint about avoiding to edit posts and comments was new to me, I do that often because I find most typos after I posted something.
Will take better care with proofing before publishing, thanks!
This was incredibly helpful, thank you. As a new Steemian, I think I've made every rookie mistakes you've mentioned, especially editing my posts after publishing. Naturally, I keep exceeding my bandwidth, so I was really happy to come across your post.
It’s been months that I’ve been here and yet I didn’t this. Thank so much @mohsan0073
For the posts, does it include comments? Will I not get new bandwidth until after I post again? But then I can't post because I am out of bandwidth? Though I can increase my bandwidth with steempower?
yeah, comments are posts because comments can generate rewards. You will get bandwidth by collecting new rewards. If you do not have any pending reward you can get your bandwidth back by increasing your steempower.
Very simple to understand! Thank you very much! As for someone like me who's very new and unfamiliar with this platform, this is really helpful. Thank you again!
Thanks :)
I think there is a little more to it than this... myself and several other people I communicate with have noticed that the issue is quite dependant of the time of day. I am in the PST time zone, and for the past three mornings I have no bandwidth. During the afternoon and evening I seem to have plenty
Wanted to add that your tip about not editing posts is great. I've been guilty of doing this, and had no idea of the possible impact. This is important to know!
Time zone does not matter!
I second you on that, I live in Central Time and in the morning my bandwith gets around 100kb, whereas in the afternoon I have over 965kb.
Thank you for your information @mohsan0073
very helpful!
Is buying steem power can increase bandwidth limit ???
yup of course!!!
Do images use up bandwidth based on their file size?
Thank you! I was hit with NO BANDWIDTH this morning and instead of freaking out, a friend told me to come read your post. Thanks for the explanations of what to do and not do here on Steemit to keep our bandwidth numbers healthy!
That's kind of a scary concept. I just saw this stat on https://steemworld.org/@nadro and wanted to know more about it.
One more question: Does this bandwidth reset or is it just a "perma ban"?
I understand the ability to only have one account but this kind of takes it too far...
It resets when you collect reward and Power up your steem power
Thanks for the information. i was so upset about why i am getting this bandwidth issue everytime i try to post on @sumaanraina. But now i understand the whole concept.
Why can't I upload pictures, now?
This is the problem I am getting... I can not upload my profile pic...As far as guess you Bandwidth cannot be low it may be the issue of steemit. so not do worry it will be get solved soon
Bandwidth Error VS Object-Object Error
I can upload now but wasn't able to for a few days in July 2018 (week ago apx) and I got the ObjectObject error message when I tried to upload photos.
Long Ago
But many months ago, there were times when trying to submit a post, a comment, I would get a bandwidth error message saying there was not enough bandwidth for me but that was months ago.
Sometimes, didn't have enough bandwidth some months ago.
But not now.
then your steem power was low that's why
My SP is about 200 SP and your SP is 200.
I am not talking about today I am talking about Past
Me too.
I can't upload photos on Steemit but can on Busy. I have over 200 SP. My RC Mana says I can post ten more comments right now, but can't add pictures. I've had this problem in the past. After a few days, it goes away without explanation.
I do not know much steemit blockchain usage policy because it has been changed Its not like as it was used to be in the past. It is might possible that steemit has some problem or just clearing your browser cache It may get resolved
I cleared my cache & my cookies but wasn't able to upload photos after that.
