I had 3 goals to save time, I missed 1 of them, tried 2 and had mixed results. See my last post about my 27 hour day idea:

Let's go back to the drawing boards!
I tried to wake up early to go to the gym
Everyone tries this and often fail because they went to sleep too late at night or the gym is too difficult to get to in the morning. But if you are sleeping early enough (or even if you aren't) then it's the hassle of getting to the gym that becomes the biggest challenge to overcome.
Here's what I'm going to TRY. I'm going to pack my gym gear the night before and head to a gym that's closer to my house rather than closer to work. There's also the hassle of showering AFTER you leave your house. I really HATE SHOWERING OUTSIDE OF MY OWN HOME!! Then you have to lug your gym gear all over the city, but there's no fixing that one if you are planning on gym-ing it every morning.
I tried to study in the train
Bingo. Nailed this one. I was working problems with the "School of PE" videos the night before and reinforced the studying by going over the problems on the train in my head with the supplied PDF. There's a huge benefit to running steps in your head and actively searching for references used in the problem , you are practicing looking for the reference tables and you are forced to think through each step needed to solve the problem.
Nailed this one!
I tired to remove some of the middle talk during work.
I failed at this miserably. There is a project where I'm working on directly with the engineer signing off on the drawings and he assigned another engineer to overwatch me and I was giving the new supervising engineer the lowdown on the project to get him up to snuff.
Part of the project involves full demolition of a wall and rebuilding it and while it is extremely important to know why we made the choice to demo, it's a subject that has been beaten to death for months and I'm so tremendously backed up with work that I really don't have the time to go through the academics of why the wall failed since its a subject that has been beaten to death.
The supervising engineer is trying to explain why he thinks the wall failed, and I stopped him immediately and said:
I don't mean to be rude, but I really don't want to discuss why the wall failed. It failed and we have gone through this many times on how to save it. We've spent thousands of the clients money and came to the conclusion to bring the wall down and rebuild it in its entirety, so let's focus on the new wall because there's a lot of work to be done.
The engineer immediately fired back and said
OK, I'll just listen since you seem to know it all. There's still a lot to learn from us senior guys, even if you don't think so.
I told him that's not the case, I just want to focus on the new all we are building and tried to reinforce his feelings of being needed by asking him to help with the design.
what do you guys think I should of done differently so I don't come off like an asshole again?
Photo of the Day! Here is a shot I'm taking of the field iPad that I use. Technology is great because using paper at 35 stories on a suspended scaffold is really tough with wind. Using a digital work pad allows me to have different colors and annotations to help convey the message. BUT! It comes at a high cost since I've already broken this thing twice!!
Definitely pack the gym bag the night before with your work clothes (and shoes!) and lay out your workout gear too. I got a whole set of hair/bodywash, quick dry towels, and any other product I use so that it is always in my gym bag. Only way for me to consistently go. Even after about a year of doing it, I still wake up in a daze. Biggest downside, you will find yourself waking up earlier on weekends too.
It is a tough balance at work. We have both types of people and for the most part those who cut off conversations get labeled as rude or unapproachable. I think maybe the best bet is to ease your way into it. Make sure you listen clearly to what the other person says, and maybe respond with a quick summary (to show you are not being a jerk) and path forward. That is what I try to do to get away from long talkers (many of whom I actually like a lot but it becomes a time sink). I catch myself doing the same thing when I am not motivated to end a conversation. I need to work on that for sure. I think your coworker probably took it as an insult and obviously you do not want to come across like that. If you did not yet apologize it would be a good idea just to clear the air. Just explain you regret coming across rude and were juggling a few tasks/projects (too much on your mind). I think everyone has been there.
I used to go to gym, because I did not have a problem to get up early. Because at night I fast asleep. Very different from my current life, because now I have been sleeping late, so it is very difficult to get up early. The cause of my sleep has been because I spend my time to play the internet. For steemit, because I do not want to waste my time just to no avail, like my past. But in essence we will be able to do all that, which is important we can set the time well. Definitely everything we can achieve. Thank you and wish you a wonderful day @motoengineer.. :)
a gym is a very difficult
for me, because it is difficult to bagun earlier in the day,
but this very need to make changes night's sleep, I'll try again
thanks @motoengineer
