I have a new idea targeting auto upvote bots. I don't know how they work but in order to combat them, is it possible to require that viewers scroll through the whole blog before they can vote? And if they choose to vote at the homepage instead of reading, that vote is worth much less than compared to you scrolling down a full page and actually saw some of the content?

Bots will likely be programmed to do this but this but if you know they are going to open a bunch of pages and autoscroll then close perhaps you can also detect how fast it takes from the time the link was accessed to when they voted and limit that to some equation based on text count, or number of photos.

Good idea.

Similar ideas have been kicked around for months, even before the bots showed up for sure.
