The whole point of Steem is it supposed to promote quality content. Memes can be funny...they can be clever, but they are hardly quality content.
I whinged about dmania many times in the past and their encouragement of spam on this blockchain.
What we as a community and developers on this blockchain should be doing is promoting a reward for effort ethos. Not always quality because we are not all of the same intelligence and not all of us will always agree. But lets stand behind the principles of why this blockchain was created. This requires input from every member and community decisions and policing of sorts.
Spammers and easy money merchants must be removed and flagged, people who put in effort and are community minded members must be rewarded. Sorry, but whatever the rights and wrongs of this post, for me anyway, dmania just doesnt fit.
