Although I am a new member of this great community I have been visiting Steemit site for at least 2 months now (because of the problems I had with account activation) I have noticed that we need more “real life people” in this platform. By this I mean more people like myself who have other professions and hobbies besides those connected to the blockchain technology and cryptocurrency.
From what I have observed during my last two months visiting Steemit, I have noticed that there is a great space for bloggers who are specialized in entertainment, lifestyle, sports, ect. I think those categories should be the next target for Steemit expansion and the whole community of steemians should try to encourage more bloggers from these categories.

I think that's the only way how we can increase the number of members on Steemit which will eventually lead to the expansion of Steem.
It will also make it easier to locate relatable material. Everything seem so jumboed catagory wise right now.
