Mattis Asked What His Top Concern For 2018 Is, Gets A Real “Mad Dog” Response In Return

James Mattis, Secretary of Defense under President Trump had a pretty great line in response to a question about what his top concern for the year is going to be. When he was asked the question, he responded with “I don’t have concerns. I create them,” Mattis said, according to multiple reports.

A very ominous message for enemies of America in 2018.

This is not the first time Mattis has opted to answer a question about America’s enemies. Last year he was asked what keeps him up at night, and he said, “Nothing, I keep other people awake at night.”

This is the type of attitude that Trump wants out of the American military, and James Mattis is bringing the attitude. Under Obama, the military was scared to engage based on public perception, not being efficient for fear of being criticized, that is not the case under Trump.

The public doesn’t have the intel to make military decisions, so don’t let them force you into making them. Obama would only engage terrorist groups with drones, assassinating terrorist leaders so they could be replaced the next day.

Obama was so terrified to put American troops on the ground that it sacrificed efficiency. The potential for there to be backlash from one of his decisions was enough to make him make a worse decision.

Under Trump and the current military leaders, they understand the position the United States is in, if there is a threat, we have the capability to eliminate it instantly, so why not do it if it’s in the best interest of the American people? That is going to be more or less the military philosophy under the Trump administration, put this massive military budget to use, and create problems for others, not problems here at home.
