Even though I'm not so active any more because i have a lot of work i can't turn my head away and not see the degradation in quality of the steemit community, mostly I refer to comments. I went to trending and opened the first post that happens to belong to @sweetsssj and int the top of the comment section I see these 2
(Orange circles)
Now notice how the first guy was already mocked for a useless comment and the 2nd one is just pure spam and i really think @steemit should make it more difficult for spammers like these to use the platform once flagged enough as I find it nicer to have no comments on my posts than to have to deal with these guys. As I am here only since June this year I haven't seen everything but I've seen the best of steemit yet, and I'm afraid the better than that won't come, and I had such high hopes for this platform but the sheer availability to everyone made it too diverse and broad as in it brings people that have no interest in cryptos and don't won't to even learn about them. I don't know if I'm making any sense, i want to say that people with different interests, backgrounds and cultures are welcome but they need to be interested in how things work because this is still a very new tech that hasn't really gone mainstream. I hope people understand why spam is such a problem here, much more than on per say YpuTube or instagram as they've gone mainstream and have much more famous "influencers" than us. Everyone else just keep doing what you're doing, you are awesome and as always, keep steeming!

Hopefully people start flagging any comments produced by Bots, a CP or anything of the sort. Comment sections are rarely full of meaningful discussion. No doubt, if it's not sorted out it will deflect people's interest from using the platform altogether.
Maybe a downvote button? Could be a game changer
