Is steemit a fair place?

I write this post because now it is almost two years that I am on steemit, I love it for many things and for others it makes me angry, I love the fact that it is an international and heterogeneous community and that you can publish content on almost anything and find as many as you want to read , about many subjects : art, history, books, photos...

And here is the topic that I want to address, the contents.
Pros and cons.
Steemit is a social platform and it is well known that friendships, like a small mafia, sometimes count here like in real life.

Why do I say a small mafia?
Let's go back to the contents, some of us are committed to creating new and original content, of greater or lesser quality but always original content, whether drawings, stories, reviews, stories, photographs, travel reports etc.

Others no.
But they earn pretty much the same even if they write maybe just two silly words.
Why?
Good contacts, bought votes and fans with a good portfolio evidently.

And so high quality content risks going unnoticed and not deserving the right emphasis.
This is something that I've known for a long time, sometimes I read some very beautiful and intelligent posts and I see that nobody or almost votes them or are voted very little.

So how can we encourage users to create quality posts if they are ignored?
In favor of post less cared for but written by someone who is more sympathetic to others, a sort of virtual nepotism.

I have seen fortunately that there are many groups that still support quality posts by careful and strong curation, fighting plagiarism and copies.
And this is very commendable, I do not understand why joining a platform as a steemit that gives opportunities and gives you the chance to earn money by writing, if you do not like to write.

But this is another problem, return to content, sometimes some users, including me, feel demotivated to lose hours behind a post, look for the right photos, write a lot and for us not native English is not easy, translate or write in a language not simple to us for hours and then to have a visibility of zero, overtaken by 'friend of' friend or the one who has the mega wallet and buy the super vote, sometimes I find this system very unfair and totally not right .

Because it does not grow in quality, which is not always rewarded, but the desire for easy, fast earnings and the progress of not only those who commit themselves but also only those who have good powerful friends but post with poor quality contents.
In short, the world of steemit is strange and sometimes I do not understand it and I regret it.

However, despite some things that I find strange and unequal , i like steemit and i will continue to write, to seek the motivation to write good post and original ones and to try to reach visibility and interact with other users / friends.
Create network in the midst of chaos no?

You made a very good point, my dear. Life on Steemit is not easy for a content creator. I came to a conclusion lately: the recipe for success here means 40% quality and 60% politics. A good post is not necessarily upvoted unless you have friends. Of course, having friends is great (this being a big plus for Steemit) but in some cases this situation causes unpleasant things like putting on trending page rubbish.
But this shouldn't bring our morale down. We must feel motivated and keep creating good posts. Nobody will ever be question our performance on Steemit. 🙂
Plus, growing on the platform gives us the opportunity to support those who begin their Steemit journey. I personally choose to give an upvote to every good post I find, no matter what reputation or if the person is a friend or a complete stranger.

"Plus, growing on the platform gives us the opportunity to support those who begin their Steemit journey. I personally choose to give an upvote to every good post I find, no matter what reputation or if the person is a friend or a complete stranger" I try to do the same, if i scroll my wall and i find a good post i give my beast upvote to it ^^ yesthis kind of nepotism it'snot really fair but it is how the world work i suppose, not only steemit ^^

Unfortunately this is the way our society works. And Steemit does not help a lot. We drain our voting power so fast... I'd wish to be able to upvote more people.

Well said. I couldn't agree more. I think it's up to all of us to make the system is more fair. It pains me every day to see so much good content with just 0.05$ or 0.10$ cents in rewards. 😶

Well, I have been here for almost a year and I still like it. I enjoy much more making a blog here than in Facebook. So I will just keep on going.

I like a lot using social networks like facebook and instgram too but steemit offer more opportunity and a true place where you can blog, in the others place it's more socializing than blogging i think, but i agree i am disappointed when i see good posts bad rewarded, it's such a shame =(

Believe me, despite being new, same thought bothers my mind most times too. But then, that's how the platform is structured. Hence decided taking my time and growing with it. Great thoughts...I'm sure you spoken lots of minds as well. Cheers!

I hope so, well we must think positive right? I follow you and welcome here ^^

Sure.... Thanks!

With the low steam price now is a good time to acquire more steam-power. I wish I bought more when it was $0.10 but at $1 I can hardly complain, except that I don't have more to invest in my account.

Yes the price now it's very low, i just steem on and do not inest actually but i think in thi end this community is a great opportunity also for little inevstors, by the way i just talk about contents and some of not fair attitude about them =(

The Pirate Mafia fully supports your efforts!

Honestly i think will continue to exist forever. The only way i can think something can be done in an extend is to join communities as you mentioned too. Communities that at least we have common interests!

That's true communities are a good way to increase visibility too ;)

I hear you, dearest @noemilunastorta ! I feel the same, also, and it is frustrating some days to feel like 'unnoticed' but there are days, too, where I am chatting with another Steemian, and suddenly I am making new friends and those are the good days :)

I do feel like I'm a bit more demoralized these days though.... To be honest.... :(

I will try to continue to carry on ! But it's getting harder and harder~

Yes i agree, i feel a very low moment on motivation, i write a post in italian about it today and soon i will translate it in english, i think it's also because many people in these times do not write a lot r comment a lot so sometimes i feel like " Uff no one notice me, so for who i write for?"

Unfortunately, it is what it is.
Try to find your best way to ride.

True =( It seems so hard sometimes =(
