About a month ago, I wrote a post about challenges in steemit ocean. This platform is big and it continues to grow everyday. This simply means minnows like me need to work even harder than before. Of course quality of the posts is important and we all know that since there are tons of articles about it out there. So this is not another "how to get more upvotes" article. I simpy wanted to share my feelings and difficulties with you guys. Motivation is the real key to success here and one can easily miss it when things go that slow.
As you might know, I do like writing about stuff i personally like. My hobbies, travel and of course cryptocurrency world. I never changed that habit based on trends and results. It is simply because writing what i want to write makes me happy. I usually spend 2-3 hours on my posts and another hour for tanslating into Turkish as i post in two languages. It is obviously a hard work and in spite of spending these hours it doesn´t always pay off. What you think is good might not be the most popular post of yours. Is that because what most users like and what you like best are different or simply a matter of luck? I am not quite sure, but in my experience, i can honestly say that most upvoted posts on my blog wasn´t always the ones i loved most. I guess sometimes it is hard to be seen by most without help of some famous bloggers around here.
Although i consider myself as a successful blogger, i also have to admit that I´ld have never come that far in such a short time without help of two wonderful people. Those people realized my impact on this platform and showed their supports which helped me a lot. With his amazing @minnowsupport project, @aggroed , who is particularly famous among minnows, helped me to be seen by more users, and of course TR curator @baharoba who always shows her support not only to me but many other bloggers in TR community. I want to thank them once again here.
If you are a whale reading this post, please make sure to find yourself a promising minnow and support him. After all, you know better than i do, this will help steemit on its journey to become one of the biggest social media platform on the internet.
If you are a minnow reading this post, keep up your good work and write regardless what is trendy. This is how we can make steemit a platform where you can find good quality, geniuen articles about anything and everything. Remember, It´s a marathon, not a sprint.
