Mindset

So often many of us spend hours lamenting the things in our lives that we wish were different. We talk about everything we would like to be doing, everything that would make our lives better and everything we want to change.
.
However rarely do we ever actually take the necessary steps forward to make those changes. I know I personally can attest to the fact that I spent years in a profession that I had zero interest in and I spent years talking about how I wished things were different.
.
And yet, nothing changed. Why? Because my desire to change was less than my desire to stay the same. I let a certain amount of comfort – even if it was comfort born from the familiarity of my discomfort – dictate my life.
.
It wasn’t until I found my desire to change outweighing my desire to stay the same that I took a leap of faith and made a move into a career that was completely different and ultimately much more rewarding.
Instead of letting a fear of the unknown dictate our lives let that fear drive you to better things. Yes, you may fail and failure can be a scary and disheartening experience. But greater than that fear is the fact that you may succeed. The only thing standing between you and the change you want to be is YOU.
.
To truly change we can’t just talk the talk, we have to actually walk the walk.
