RE: My Rant on Poor Content on SteemIt + I'd Like to Follow Quality Users

in #steemit8 years ago

I'm a huge hater of non-engaging, spamming contents.

By the way, the spammers might not've been bots. There are actually people that sit around copying and pasting those garbage comments, as well as some that just type it over and over again. (I wish I was kidding.)

Best thing to do about those guys? Check their comments to make sure they do it a lot. Check their posts (if they even have any, they'll likely be obviously stolen), then go report them to @steemcleaners either by posting the link in the @steamcleaner's linkdrop chat on Steemit.Chat, or by posting a summary and link to the user you're reporting on one of their report posts. You can even get rewards for reporting them! (If you go look in my wallet, I was rewarded by them a few minutes ago.)

One of the problems I see people having with finding good content they want to follow is they just want original content but don't want to know the person making it. I've seen a lot of whining about not caring about the person's life or whatever, and just wanting more of the usual original content and nothing personal.

The way I feel about it, is that if you don't like learning about the person themselves, or hate when someone posts something that's actually personal and about their life, don't follow them. Because we're all people on here. These are blogs. Blogs aren't exclusively articles people write and such. They're also journals.

I'll stop rambling on now.

I hope you find more content creators that you like. Good luck, and have a great day!
