Why can't I monetize after 7 days?!
I've been asking myself this question but actually this keeps information up-to-date! Noone says you can use your old posts, update them and re-publish them! It takes a while but then the genius of Steemit gets you! It's a paradigm shift.
But I have also some other ideas in store for this. Since I'm also a musician, it can happen that your track is done, it is perfect. Now what? Well, others can resteem or copy it but you could follow the root, ie. the original with something like @Cheetah or Microsofts PhotoDNA for remixes. This could also work very well for video I think!
music, video, and pretty much all "timeless" works of art can potential benefit. I would envision at some point that ongoing revenues could also be redirected back to the original creator as well for including songs, images, etc as a small usage royalty. There are already at least a few initiatives working on such models. The main difference here is that on STEEM, there hasn't really been a "clearer way" to do that without the need to directly "charge" people for it.
Ha! Cool, I just finished a post about it, will post tomorrow :)
And here it is!
Wow! My post got truncated, there just 10%, htf can that happen? :( Sad...
