Internet sleuths & debunkers are long habituated to using the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine. And look at how quickly archive sites like Archive-today and Archive.is have taken off: they snapshot forums and other media edited frequently.
And there's always someone around who's screenshot a controversial and later-deleted Tweet!
So blockchain archiving - for sleuthing or debunking - is already consistent with long habit.
