Yesterday I became a contributor on The Huffington Post.
After three weeks of fun with you good people, the topic of my first Huff article was a no-brainer, it had to be Steemit.
I did a quick search on Google for any mentions of Steemit on the site and there were zero results.
So, I'm very happy to announce that Steemit has just made its first appearance on The Huff Post!
May it be the first of many.

I've never heard of Summer Friday before. I'm from the UK originally and now live in Australia... is it an American thing?
I guess Europeans just take the whole month off. Americans take long weekend or work from home.

It is awesome to see Steemit show up on mainstream media. I still suspect it's a bit of an alien concept to some, but once the name is widespread, people will certainly give it a try.
The only really alien part that I've seen so far comes when you want to convert the Steem Dollars to actual dollars. That still requires jumping through a few unusual hoops. Aside from that, I think people get the idea of being paid for activity pretty rapidly... even if they can't understand where the money is coming from.

I don't know - Steem Power and Powering Up and Down isn't as simple as logging into Facebook.
But of course, when they find out they can earn money, people will learn it all in a jiffy. :)
I hope the general public gets over it's fear of blockchain and cryptocurrency soon.
Steemit's definitely the flagship in that regard isn't it.
