Spam posting.
Good Gods, I thought there was a way to wade through the noise and get some value. I'm no longer convinced. Even here in Steemit, people are gaming the system for pure profit above value.
Now, this isn't me quitting the platform. Nah, I'm just getting started here.
But this post is definitely sparked by looking at the lay of the land and what do to game the system and rack up those up-votes. In Facebook it's easy to spot a "guru" when they start writing with ellipsis at the end of every line, and hand-wavy woo-woo to lead into a sale.
Here, I'm not so sure. The gamification seems to focus on: 1. plagiarism, and 2. baiting into an upvote with a headline, because the post itself doesn't have any information.
