My very first steemit post! yay!

I have at least 3 friends that recommended me to use steemit. And almost a year to get to write this very first post. That's how "exciting" steemit seems to me, for all this time.

Starting work in a new year face!!

So, I feel guilty about my hesitation, but, to my defense, Steemit doesn't seems be user friendly.

From my perspective - for steemit to take off, I think it needs a bit more "coolness". The way I see it with a pair of fresh eyes, at the moment, it just look like "work". I can easily think is just any other "corporate" computer program. It took me like 10 minutes to find a way to connect to my friends. While with all the other social apps, it's usually the other way around - I have to update the privacy setting so that it cannot spam my friends with invites.

I haven't checked the mobile app. That's an area that can lead to surprises..

So, yeah - "Hello world!"
