I have quite a number on mute. And YES, I wish we could block them from visiting our posts! The idea is keeping the system open, but if a post is intellectual property, why not keep "invaders" from seeing your property? :)

I think that part of the openness IS the freedom to block the unwanted spammers. So I'm with you on it. I think in time, the space will clear up, just like it did on youtube etc... better filters will be in place or we'll come up with something. At the end of the day, if we focus on creating and cultivating meaningful connections, they shit will dry up and fall off our shoes :)
