One thing that's missing however is faith. One of crpytos greatest strengths is that you don't require any faith in it's working the code is the code and it, more or less, is right in front of your eyes in the good books of GitHub.

I would say it is ultimate faith in a few developers that they got it right, chances are 99% of people CAN'T read the code even if they wanted to.. If that isn't blind faith?
Yeah that was the more or less part. There is that 1% that can verify it all which is infinity times more than any typical religion can be verified
